My ultimate go-to bag for daily office commute AND travel, all in one!
Do you go to the office once or more per week? Do you travel for work and do an overnight trip? Do you do both? Then THIS is your go-to bag, trust me. I'm a backpack/bag snob - always have been - and I'm always looking for that perfect travel companion. So far, I've yet to find the equal to this bag. Briggs and Riley quality, of course, but it's the perfect combination of form meeting function. Padded integrated laptop compartment, separate notepad/paperwork compartment, plenty of room atop them for a travel mouse or wrist rest (if you're so inclined) and the internal zippered clamshell storage is plenty for an overnight or possibly even two, depending on how you pack. The zip-front opening allows for cavernous storage and ample pockets for things like travel chargers, snacks, a small umbrella, headphones, etc. The only thing it truly lacks is a water bottle compartment, but everything else becomes hands-free so it's not that big of a deal to keep your water in one hand as you walk, right? Trust me when I tell you this thing is bigger than it seems, yet smaller than you'd think, and fits comfortably beneath every airline seat I've thrown at it, especially those tight regional jets. If you can get it, do so - you won't regret it.

Good under-seat bag
Got this to augment my B&R roll on. Capacity is good. Stylish. Well built. I like the expansion feature, but wish it had about 20% more volume. It could use a couple of easy access outside compartments and a water bottle holder. Quite versatile and can function as a day pack for hiking, a work/laptop carrier, or as a general purpose carry on. No complaints after many long international trips, but wish for another inch of expansion that would bring it into the 30 liter range.

Good quality, not worth the price
This bag has a lot going for it; convertible to a carry bag, solid build quality, modern look, etc. However, at this price I expect a LOT more utility... specifically MORE POCKETS.There's a couple outside back vertical pockets that are barely usable in backpack mode... they're basically there for when you carry it like luggage. Outside of that there are NO EXTERIOR POCKETS. What?!? Okay, so at least there will be pockets for storage inside, right? NOPE... 3 sleeve pockets for a couple laptops... and nothing else. Loose cables and adapters, misc gear, cards, etc... NOTHING to hold them all in place.I bought a Tomtoc bag for $80 that isn't quite the build quality of this, but at 1/4 of the price it's a WAAAY better deal. And it has more pockets and more utility. So disappointed in this bag.

Zippers are disappointing...
I wanted to love this bag. But sadly the zippers felt cheap and one of them would regularly get stuck. I do like the overall "look" of the bag and the various pocket placements. More robust zippers would earn this a 5-start review

Personal item size!
Pros: I was able to pack for a 5 day vacation, with 2 extra pairs of sandals and a tablet.-Perfect fit for a personal item on a flight-great quality material and zippers-comfortable to carry several miles even fully packed-option to change to cross body strapsCons: front pocket is a good size, but it is not the easiest to get to on a flight. The cargo backpack pockets are a little more convenient, especially if you are getting thing out of them frequently.-no water bottle pocketsAll and all I really like this bag. I hate paying for luggage to the airlines, so this bag is perfect for a semi short trip.

The dimensions shown in the Product Information are false.
Buyer beware. I bought this bag, item number ZXP127-4, because I wanted a bag that would meet the requirements of United Airlines for a “personal item.” To qualify, an item must be no larger than 9 x 10 x 17 inches. According to the Product Information here on Amazon for this item, the dimensions of this bag are 5.8 x 9.5 x 17 inches, which would meet the United Airlines requirements. The description of the item on the Briggs & Riley website also says that it is 5.8 x 9.5 x 17 inches. But after buying it here and receiving it, I learned that, in reality, this item is 7 x 12 x 18.5 inches. That’s much larger than advertised and too large to qualify as a United Airlines personal item. I will now have to waste time returning the item because Briggs & Riley falsely advertised the dimensions. I expected a lot better from Briggs & Riley, especially for $319.00.

Best as a travel duffle vs. laptop bag
I am happy with the ZDX convertible duffle for my intended use. I had picked it up mainly for short(ish) trips as a carry on that can double as a laptop bag as an alternative to the B&R @Work brief. Love the @Work brief design and management of my "travel-office" but it was a little tight on capacity for clothes. Worked great for short trips. The Duffle allows me to carry on a few more days of clothes which was the intent. I do like the laptop and tablet area of the duffle but storage for other traveling work office essentials (power adaptors, portable drives, travel mouse, etc.) is a bit less well setup than for the @work brief. Happy with the purchase, though, and expect years of use as I have had from all of my B&R luggage. Just takes a bit of adaptation to work with my typical travel kit...

Carry-on wonder
This bag is great as a carry-on or secondary carry-on. Not cheap but will last forever
