Preserved Reindeer Moss Natural Green DIY Kit Gardenning Art Wall Decor Florist Decor Easter Table Decor Wedding

Let it be known that I'm an artist, and am using this for an art/decor piece I'm making from scratch. I've ordered reindeer moss (actually a lichen/fungus) from Norwegian (origin) sellers on Etsy. While the price per OZ/LB may be more there, the quality is MUCH higher. I decided to try an alternative in order to help save on cost by buying this moss.As soon as I opened the box (I ordered Green 3), it was immediately noticeable that the moss was the wrong color. It looked more yellow, than green. For that, I returned it. I ended up going with a different color selection (Green 2, and not available for PRIME for some odd reason), and with the arrival of the new/different color, I've got some qualms:1. This moss is inconsistently colored...and I'm not talking about natural color variations. The dyeing process they used was very inconsistent across the pieces alone, and some of them were obviously of a color sorted from a different product/dye (appears to be "Green 6").2. This moss is a bit dirty...and when I say dirty, I do mean some traces of dirt and such, but primarily all of the riff-raff within the moss. I'm talking about multiple different species of flora growing/embedded within/through the moss. Because I've committed to the big project I've been using this stuff for, I've spent HOURS pulling out all these foreign twigs, plants, some seeds, dirt, little black hairs, and pruning away the discolored sections.In the photos shown, you can see some examples of what I'm referring to above. The pile on the paper plate is some of the "riff-raff" I've pulled out of the batch (with a "good" piece of moss next to it for reference).Ultimately, I may need more for the project I'm going for, so am reluctantly prepared to have to order another batch, just to maintain a consistent-ish color throughout the art piece I'm creating.If you're less picky than me, this is a decent offering. If you're wanting a flawless and consistent look, it may be best to look elsewhere.

Way over priced for the quantity. The box here makes it seem like you’re get a large box of this, especially for the price. Went to my local craft store because I needed more and bought the same amount for $10. Paid $30 on here.

Small box. Expected a bigger box full for the price. Definitely dyed light green. Over all it did the job I needed it to do and it turned out beautifully. I plan on using the rest for frames for my wall. To me there was no scent and I have a very sensitive nose when it comes to smells. Almost as sensitive as a pregnant woman's nose.lol. I ended dripping about 5 drops of essential oil in each clump of moss. The orbs are plastic and those I got on dollartree.com. with a toddler there was no way I was going to have glass ones lol.

I bought this with two other types of moss to make a moss mat for my bathroom. I ran water on it to rinse off the dirt, and so much green dye came out, it almost ruined my tile and hardwood floor. I had to scrub with bleach to keep it from staining. Now, it could have been one of the other mosses, but I'm leaving this review on each one because it was a LOT of dye.

Building a living wall art piece! The moss is to fill in the gaps. Not done yet, I’m using greening pins up keep the moss in place.

I purchased 2 boxes. I'm returning one because I haven't opened it. The other that I did open had an awful toxic smell that would give me constant headaches. I hoped it would fade away after a few days..but it didn't. I tried washing it and I think it's the coloring or dye used on the moss that has such a horrible smell. It stains a lot but eventually it washed off my hands yet the smell still lingered. It wasn't as bad, but the moss no longer has its vibrant colors. I threw the rest of that box away. I've been suffering migraines because of that smell... 😕

The color is extremely bright and artificial — almost neon. Not really what I was hoping for. Not sure If I will keep or return.

Product is good looking but wish there is more for the price.
