Knotted the end of the cord and then hooked the cord around a long piece of wire; fed the wire through six poles, one at a time. Tied off the end and it works perfectly. Went camping once since, and the pole held just fine.

Worked great to repair the REI Quarter Dome 2 tent poles. I was worried I would have enough shock cord, but I ended up have 6' left over. Took about 30-45 minutes to carefully complete the repair. The 0.09 inches diameter worked great and easily threaded through the tent poles. The 1/8" inch diameter that REI sells in store is too thick.
