I do not see these masks on the niosh approved list as of 9/2/2020. are they listed under a different manufacturer than fangtian?

Hi All - As another user, Alisa MT, has attributed, yes this company "Suzhou Fangtian Industries Co Ltd" is and their 8 products are CERTIFED by NIOSH. This product 84A-7861 is CERTIFIED. Just make sure you buy from the right seller - either the Sold By is Amazon or if a third-party seller, make sure that Sold By seller is an authorized US distributor for that company's masks. You can validate the US distributor from the company website. OR else chances are high you are falling prey to one of the many unscrupulous sellers! Fangtian company was removed from niosh list on the cdc website. is this item niosh approved item?

I just found this mask, model FT-N040, on the CDC approved list as of 1/14/2022. You need to look for the full company name “Suzhou Fangtian”.

Fangtian is a recognized provider of N95 respirators in the US. I Googled and found them on two US agencys' lists of NIOSH certified manufacturers. They are not reusable under usual conditions, but during the pandemic, both the US CDC and National Institute on Occupational Safety & Health have issued guidance for re-use and disinfection. Certain work processes enable reuse without disinfection, for example by dedicating masks to individual workers and patients, with careful labeling and storage of N95s between wearings. You can find them on YouTube. Researchers have also focused on disinfection: they studied how long SARS-CoV-2 viruses persist on N95s (roughly 7 days), and have experimented with various methods of disinfecting them. Again I suggest you Google the issue.

Are they made in China?

N95 respirators are tested and meet US standards (NIOSH), may be made in China. KN95 are designed to meet Chinese respirator standards. KF94 are designed to meet Koren standards. If authentic, all of these are quality masks.
