We started out by making my own frames. Its not hard, but is very time consuming. The only way to make it worth your time is to have multiple table saws so you can run a production line. With one saw there is too much down time to setup for each step. There is no way I can make these myself for $1.26 each.All wood was top notch with no warpage or knots. All peices were tight fitting with no noticeable variations. Very quick to put together with pneumatic brad nailer.We waited several months to post this review. Wanted to see how they would hold up to being pryed away from the propolis with the hive tool. No problems.It does come with enough material to make 100 complete frames. One review said theirs came with only 100 end bars. Should have been 200. Should have contacted Mann Lake first and given them a chance to fix before adding bad review. These kits are a time/money saver.

High quality frames at a great price. I did the math to see how much it would cost me to make my own frames and even did a few just to see how much work it was. While I could make frames for cheaper, it wouldn't be much after factoring in time, and the quality of the wood would be lower since I'd have to work with knots and all the issues with improvement store lumber. All the frames I got were beautiful, no knots or splintering, so it was definitely worth it.Word of warning though, if you order other things with this in the same shipment they put them all in a larger box together. Mine came without any padding which meant that, after being jostled around by the shippers, the dry pollen bottle in the box was pretty well crushed and pollen was everywhere and leaking out the sides.

These frames are PERFECT! I noticed some reviews saying there isn’t any room for the bees to pass through but that was not the case when I assembled the frames. If they’re fitting too tight for them to pass, you assembled the side pieces upside down! Super fast shipping and just in time! Thank you!!!

These frames will not take wired foundation there are no cleats to hold it in but they are perfect for rite cell plastic foundation and that was my intention so they were perfect for my situation they were clean wood(no defects from knots)

I liked them. I can assemble the whole box in four and a half hours with foundation and everything, using a staple air. Good quality will last a long time.

I was totally impressed great wood no knots from what I can see easy to assemble well worth the money actually really cheap just like $1.03 per frame but the quality is fantastic the frames I’ve brought premade Where junk wood was used so I was very pleased to see great wood

I am just getting restarted in beekeeping. This was a money and time saving product. I was going to build my own, but no need with this quality product.
