• To cancel the alarm press the SET/ALARM OFF button, until you get to the alarm that you would like to cancel. • When the alarm time is flashing hold down the hour and minute buttons together for 3 seconds till OFF appears. • Press the SET/ALARM OFF button to confirm.

how long does the alarm ring if you don't shut it off?

The alarm will ring or vibrate for one minute. I use vibrate on wrists because my hearing isn’t that good. Works great.

Is there any kind of backlight that differentiates between alarm #1 & #2 when they vibrate so you know which to cut off?

As far as I can say, no there no difference between alarms 1 and 2.
