Bondi Sands Express Self Tanning Foam, Lightweight, Fragrance Free Self-Tanner for an Even, Streak-Free Tan, 6.76 fl oz

This tanning foam goes on smoothly and blends really well, even for beginners. It develops into a nice, natural-looking color without looking orange or streaky. I like that it works quickly and dries fast so you're not sticky all day. Overall, a great self-tanner if you want quick, even results.

It looks disgusting when it comes out of the bottle, like a sick baby popped on your mitt, but don’t let that scare you! I’ve tried so many self tanners, including Bondi’s regular self tanner that you’re supposed to leave on for six hours or more (and you really have to leave on for more if you want a really noticeable f difference). This is by far the easiest and best I’ve used! However, I always still leave it on for a long time, many times overnight. With the regular Bondi Sands it would leave my white sheets brown and had a smell that some people liked but I hated. With this kind, no brown on my sheets and no smell. And it gives me a beautiful, natural looking tan! However, as I noticed in other reviews, it did not come with a cap!! It looked like it was supposed to, the tape was sticking up where the cap should have been attached? Luckily none of it spilled out. I’d be weary if anyone gets some with part of the contents spilled because you absolutely have to shake this stuff up before applying so all the colors in there blend. If you lose a little green or some other color because it spilled before you shake it I would think the resulting color of your tan would be a bit off. Other than that, I highly recommend!

The pictures speak for themselves. The one at school is no-tan. The shirtless one is me documenting how it fades (shoulders first!) and the last two are of it in action. I didn't feel orange and nobody commented on it being a fake tan. Take note, it looks AMAZING after you first put it on and it dries, but that is just so you can make sure not to miss a spot. That version of the tan isn't sustainable and smudges and runs readily. Happily, it also looks great after showering. I am just a pasty Danish boy with Italian undertones but I felt as though I was full blown Mediterranean when I was diligently using this. Of course, it requires exfoliating and regular upkeep, but it was sustainable for about 5 days or so and that's all I needed. If you don't have roommates the product would be even better (for me) because I've found sitting around without clothes on while it dries makes it impractical.

Okay so I have been using this product for about four months now exclusively and think I am finally able to write an accurate review. So I usually go to Walmart or wherever to buy this in person but decided to buy one off of Amazon because I was in a bind and couldn’t find them at a local store. All of the ones from my local stores worked so well. I’ve done the ultra dark and ultra dark express both leaving them on overnight. Even if you get the express I recommend leaving it on for at least four hours because washing it off after and hour or two doesn’t do much. I have sensitive skin when it came to other self tanning products I would get red rashy and my skin would crack on my legs. This product doesn’t do that thankfully! You can use a makeup brush, mitt, nitrile gloves, microfiber towel, or a beauty blender to apply it. I personally use nitrile gloves leave it on for about 30 seconds and then go over it with a dry beauty blender in upwards motions and it looks perfect. I’ve gotten lazy before and left streaks and when I washed it off there was no visible streaks. I believe this product is pretty foolproof. With that being said the one I bought off of here when I used it, I had huge blotches of red color and other huge areas of green. Which left my very confused…. I shook it up like crazy and mixed it with what was left of my other bottle from Walmart and mixed like crazy again. Let it sit for an hour then applied it and it was well good but not great. So I’d say the product itself is amazing but I’d try to find it locally if possible :) I don’t put it on my face usually but if I do I wait till I’m about to hop in the shower and put it on 10 min before hand. I use the squeeze bottle of aquaphor on my elbows hands feet and knees. Heavy on my feet and elbows where I’m more dry and what is left over on my hands and knees. When I apply the product to my feet and hands I use whatever is left over on the beauty blender.

I’m a seasoned self tanner. My philosophy? Tanned “troubled areas” look better than pale “troubled areas”, at least on me. I’ve always had two favorite brands, one being bondi sands. While I don’t like to complain, I think it is fair to give others an honest review for this particular product. I’ve wanted to try this product for months and saw it on sale during July Prime Days and decided it was time. I prepped my skin as suggested, and as I always do, and then when the time came, I applied the mousse. I waited the hour as instructed on the bottle, as it’s an “ultra express”, to rinse the product off. No soap, just a rinse and pat dry. All of the product came off during the rinse. Nothing developed as the bottle said it should. No glorious tan. No tan at all!! I’m just as pale 24 hours after I applied it as I was before applying the product. I can’t even confirm that the product does not streak since it all rinsed off without a hint of color on my skin. To say that I am highly disappointed in the product is an understatement. It was a waste of money, time, and energy that I will not get back and the product did not give me any type of tan that I wanted for an event the following day. I don’t recommend this particular bondi sands product at all.

I was using the aero express, which is a lot lighter than this and smells a little. I have used SO many self tanners (favorites Bondi aero express, Bali body express, rose & caramel). This is new to me this year and my new favorite. It is dark and super streaky going on. BUT it washes off streak free. I leave it on 4 hours but I wet a washcloth and wipe my hands, face, feet and elbows after two hours. It continues to develop after you rinse it off. It lasts me about 3-4 days before it starts to fade. It fades patchy around my bra line/ around my boobs. It’s a little difficult to get off but it fades fairly evenly and I start exfoliating around day 4, then redo the tan after 7 days or so. I am very fair skinned, cool tone, freckles. The tan color is not super warm (so not orange on my fair skin) which I love. It is nice and natural looking on the hands & feet which is fabulous. It did leak a little in the Amazon package but I cleaned it up. Highly recommend for new tanners, and all tanners alike. It is forgiving and beautiful. Also affordable! It also doesn’t smell almost AT ALL which I have never experienced with self tanners.

Actually really good - Make sure to moisturize - I apply in the evening (7pm) - leave on for like 2/3 hours (even 1 is fine), then wash off (No Soap) and go to bed. Next day looks like an amazing glow. I do this a few times a week if I wanna build up. I love that I don't have to sleep in it or have it on forever. So easy and good tbh. I do body and face.

This isn’t exactly express! As an avid self tanner I was a little disappointed by the results of this Bondi Sands express tanning foam. I left it on for a little over an hour which was supposed to give me a “dark” tan according to the label. At first when I put it on I was super dark (from the bronzer in the tan), but immediately after washing it off an hour later I hardly noticed a tan at all! The only saving grace was that the tan slowly developed a little bit more over the next few hours. Still very disappointing for a tan that claims to be express. Still giving three stars since as far as tans go I liked the consistency, it was very easy to apply, and the smell wasn’t bad at all. Highly recommend using the Bondi Sands mitt for application. I think I’ll give it another try, but will be leaving on for 2-3 hours this time!
