This movie typifies 90% of what is being released these days. It's a paint by numbers story about paint by numbers characters doing paint by numbers actions to a paint by numbers conclusion. It's boring and soulless. The characters are poorly developed and boring. This is filler that never really aspires to be more. You can have a low budget production that is good. Look at the grind house, "exploitation" movies put out in the 70's. For instance, the movie "White Lightning" or "Thunderbolt and Lightfoot". Those movies were made for peanuts but still offered a lot of bang for the buck. When you make a film and take 0 risks, break 0 new ground and offer absolutely no challenges whats so ever to the audience, well this is what that looks like. Everyone in this is phoning it in because they know that's all they need to do. Sad thing is, you have all the components to be something more. You have a lot of talented actors but there's nothing here for them to really work with. It's junk. I gave it two stars for the slow motion gun fight. Watching pellets hit a guys groin in slow motion was the highlight of this movie.

First off, there is something seriously wrong with Amazon. How is it possible that this movie has a 3.5 star rating while at the same time it has a 17% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes. I strongly suspect that the 17% who had something positive to say were crew and family members of this stinker.Forget the story line - it was potentially plausible but implemented so horribly it screwed up the only possible saving grace for the movie. I honestly cannot figure out if Cusack and Cage just wasted all their money and did not save for retirement or are so bored that they will do anything offered them ... ProTip: If you take this type of scummy project, you won't get offered better ones. If Cage thought the script called for an obviously faked mustache and wig to add some kind of enhancement to the character, he was searching too deeply for meaning. Walking out of makeup looking like that, he should have quit on the spot. I actually quit the movie about 55 mins in when Cage starts beating his brother to death - it was annoyingly boring and superfluous.

Im sick of wasting my time on this crud, this movie sucks. It's boring, it's dumb, and the look of the production is boring and looks like crap, probably one of those red cameras, they just make everything look boring. I can't believe i started a 7 day free trial for one of these stupid channels that cost extra, just to watch this crappy movie, like it isn't bad enough paying for prime video with all the no-talent productions, all the channels suck too, they should be free, i've had it this place is just a time wasting suck zone.

I believe both Cage and Cusack were stoned to make this movie. The hair and nose job on Cage made him look like a clown, rather than the Southern King Pin he was supposed to be. It makes me think the director wanted to make Cage look foolish, it is so counter to the image of the role. Like it was testing how ridiculous Cage would permit the director to be with his appearance before he said "no". The results of this film suggest that either Cage was desperate for a role or just simply stoned out of his mind to care. Cusack's appearance and acting was as if he had been on a bender the night before. It was the names Cage and Cusack on this film that spiked my interest to watch, but both are better actors than what this film inspired them to be. This is a low budget maybe three day shoot, with a great deal of violence and red gel. The final shoot out in slow motion was noteworthy and added one star to the overall review. If you want to watch two very good actors do a less than average performance. then this flic will suffice, otherwise don't bother watching!

terribly put together.. everything is cheap and horrendously tragic in this comic thing...

Family loyalty is tested when a successful businessman must rescue his deadbeat brother from the vicious mobster holding him hostage. That was the synopsis on the cover of the Blu-ray. it does not do justice to the movie. I have to say that I really did enjoy this movie mostly due to the cast. Johnathan Schaech, Adrian Grenier, John Cusack and a surprising Nicolas Cage. The suspense levels in this movie are very high because you never know what is happening from one minute to the next. The cast excelled in their parts.

Got motion sickness after 15 mins of watching it, hire a professional to film!

Not 16:9 but I do like 5.1 surroundsound which is interesting for fireworks. I like the action and violence. I like the shooting. I like the punching and kicking. I don't like slowmotion violence. I can watch movies like this.

Um es vorne weg zu nehmen, auf die Zeitraffa Aufnahmen zum Schluss. Darauf habe ich gewartet. In meiner Phantasie ist mir diese Szene oft in Gedanken vor gegangen.Der Film ist eine Geschichte 2-Brüder, die ganz toll zusammen halten und mit Fehlern in der Vergangenheit klar kommen müsssen. Der Film hat mich zwar nicht gefesselt, aber er ist nicht langweilig, hat eine einigermaßen gute Handlung und hat auch gute Aktionszenen. 4-Sterne
