After reading some of the reviews I was a little hesitant about purchasing these threads. I went ahead and ordered them and I’m glad I did!The starting point was easy to find. It’s somewhere towards the middle and you can find it because it’s on the outside of the spool. Just turn the spool until you spot it and pull on the thread with your fingers or a sewing needle. It runs across and around, not up and down. Second, the colors are beautiful with many hues to choose from. No two colors are alike. I’ve already sewed with two of the colors which matched the items I was mending exactly.The quality is good, it’s strong and never broke when I was repairing a decorative pillow that was made with thick fabric. If you are expecting the finest thread money can buy you will be disappointed. The thread quality is very adequate though.I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

This kits has just about every color you can imagine in it! I made a t-shirt with 100 buttons for 100 days of school and was able to match all the colors

Bought this to do some micro crocheting, the material feels soft, it is thicker than embroidery string which is what I needed. colors are beautifully vibrant, was a good starting purchase.

I like that you can match to any fabric you need. So much colors I’m amazed. I would say the strength is as normal. So the quality is good. I would recommend

Like a moth to a flame, I was lured into buying this thread by the pretty colors and the low price. And the reviews. How it ever got an overall 4+ star rating defies comprehension. I really, really wanted to like it but this thread breaks CONSTANTLY. Getting this was like buying an adorable puppy at the pet store only to find after you get it home that it has heartworm.Do yourself a favor and stick with quality thread (ie, Gutermann); it's worth the price.
