Finally - just what I needed
Finally - I'm happy.Wanted to get 2 new fans as I'd been running my system with just the one Corsair fan that came with case.First bought 2 x Corsair Air Series AF120-LED Quiet Edition (£20) - but at that point hadn't twigged the 3 pin or 4pin issue and the advert was silent. It was 3 pin I needed 4pin. So returned.Second bought (splashed out a bit) on 2 x Noctua NF-F12 PWM (£34) . Crazy fiddle to fit the silicon holdings (unless your Antman) and gave up on that but once booted up the fans offered the same noise level experience of a low flying chinook, even at pretty low workload. Remarkable given the otherwise positive feedback but no chance me tolerating that at this price. So returned.3rd and final bought these Nanoxia Deep Silence fans (£25). Easy to fit, even the silicon fittings being that bit longer meant I could fit. Booted up and was immediately concerned I'd miss-wired given silence. But no....! they were both on and merrily whirring away at 600prm. Did a full speed check and yes they of course make a fair old noise at 1500rpm but not intolerable and actually about same levels as the Noctua when running at 300rpm ! Dropped down fan settings to performance and noise level was barely perceptible, at 'quiet' settings the fans were truly silent. Fair old amount of air being transferred and as I have tower on floor by my desk I have a slight problem with the cold draught ! so an added bonus of a foot cooler when summer hits. Basic all you need packaging, no extension cables or unnecessary gubbins (unlike the Noctua) so all said very happy despite the rocky journey.

Doesn't include all items
First of all, there is no 7v Adapter cable to make the fan run slower. What you see on the picture is incorrect! It states also on the product page there is an adapter to make it run slower. First I thought it was an error in just this box and send it back, but also the second one that arrived didn't have it included. This was important to me as I wanted a fan that was quiet.That brings it to the fan, yes it's decent fan. It's reasonable quiet at 12V input. I think with the adapter to make it run slower it would have been a great product. BUT only 3 stars because of it. I now have have to buy a fan controller to adjust the speed myself and make it suit my needs.Also don't get excited by the German engineering statement, it's still made in China

Close, but no cigar
It's a pretty decent quiet fan, but it's not the best. I bought this fan for a music studio PC and have done tests comparing its noise level compared to other quiet fans I own. This fan makes very little noise but it does produce an annoying clicky rumble that my other tested units (Aerocool DS, be quiet! PW2) did not produce. From personal experience, I recognise this as an effect of a fan spinning too slowly.In all fairness to it, it does move a decent amount of air for the amount of noise generated (at full power), but the other fans I tested cost less and make less noise while moving an appreciably similar amount of air (on 7v adaptors of custom fan curves), and also have much more headroom for spinning up to high speeds should they need to. For this reason I feel like this Nanoxia fan is quiet because it is slow, not necessarily because of great design. The Aerocool DS fans are vastly more powerful, and the be quiet! fans lack the clicking, all for around the same money.So, to summarise, this fan is by no means at all bad and the price to noise to performance value is actually pretty good, but there are better alternatives out there for a similar cost. I hope this feedback helps 😊

very low noise ----- genuine 16db on max !!! --- very good A +++
Very good fan for the price --- it really is very quet for the amount of air it moves -- i have no doubt --- that the 16 DECIBEL RATING --- is most definatley accurate --- and 63cfm -- and that is max 16db !!! -- at 1500rpm compared with the fan that i had in my computer case before -- there is no comparison ----Normally if a fan is low in noise the reason -- is because the fan manufacturer -- has deliberatley --- set the fan -- rpm -- low -- and that is the reason --- the fan is quiet ----- --- not here -- very quiet and high volume of air moved :)i am using for my CPU -- seperate radiator and then this fan -- as i said maximum speed -- still very quiet -- very impressed A +++

Great fans
Put these in as extra rear fans in a PC I built. Comes complete with rubber mountings (or screws if you prefer). The rubber mountings were fiddly to fit, but worth persevering with to minimise vibration to the chassis. Make sure you select either the 3 pin or the 4 pin ones depending on your connectors. Can't hear them at all - very happy!
