Actually, it's not fragrance free. It has a blend of perfumes in it, which include, but are not limited to, mint, bubblegum, and lime scents. Sounds exotic! It's really not such a strong smell though - it's not supposed to mask the odor but rather eat away at the cause of the smell which are the bi-products left behind after urine, feces, etc. Enzymes are like cheerleaders for good bacteria - so an enzyme cleaner is essentially a bunch of cheerleaders cheering for the good bacteria team to eat up all the yucky stuff. How long do I have to wait to shampoo carpet after using this product?

Hi Bonnie, thanks for your question. After you've sopped up the excess cleaner and then allowed it to dry we recommend going over it once with a vacuum. After that you can use a carpet shampooer as you see fit. can you use this in kitchen cabinets for mouse urine odor?

Hi C., first of all, we're sorry to hear about your mouse problem. Secondly, yes, yes you can! Depending on how porous the wood (or other) your cabinets are made of you'll need to let Sheiner's Pet Stain and Odor Remover sit for at least 5 minutes to allow the enzymes to break down the waste matter. Note of caution, the CDC recommends wearing latex gloves when cleaning mouse droppings and avoiding stirring up any dust that might be around the droppings. Can this be used in a carpet shampooing machine?

Great question, the answer is yes... BUT it's not how it's meant to be used. The reason why pet stains (or children's stains etc.) smell is because of byproducts left over, i.e. ammonia. Enzymatic cleaners (like Sheiner's) contain natural enzymes (basically bacteria) that actually eat away at the byproducts thereby removing the source of the smell. Therefore, before using a carpet cleaning machine, you need to allow the enzyme cleaner to soak in and begin the reaction which eats away at the source of the stain. After letting the cleaner soak into the stain, you absorb the liquid as much as possible with towels and/or a wet-dry vacuum before letting dry. Then you can wash the area with a standard cleaner. Washing the area with a carpet cleaner without letting the enzyme cleaner soak in is applying it to the surface of the carpet without getting at the yucky stuff that absorbed inside of the carpet etc. Hope this was clear enough - if not, please feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to help you out. Removed smell and stains

a thousand percent recommend this product

oh my goodness, this stuff works miracles. i used this on my hardwood floors and it completely evaporated the pee smell and an added bonus they wont pee there again. it has prevented them form having accident in the same area. i highly recommend this product. what i did for my hardwood was heavily spray the area and let it sit for a minut or two and wipped it up. i add that cause theres no instructions on the bottle for hardwood floors only fabrics and carpet. if i could give this product more stars i would. its worth the money

This stuff is insane!

I have tried multiple enzymic cleaner brands, even the trendy ones. All of them were subpar, with some performing slightly better than others. However, this cleaner is so strong and gets rid of cat urine instantly. I was shocked at how well it got the stain and odor out with just one treatment. It worked on all surfaces. I dilute it in a spray bottle or use a tiny bit in my carpet cleaner vacuum. The cleaner has an extremely light fragrance that disperses within an hour. It's great because once the fragrance dissipates, I smell zero traces of pee or other odors, which really tells me it does its job. Other enzymic cleaners would smell great, but after an hour or so, a urine smell would surface. This cleaner doesn't need to compensate with fragrances because it leaves no odor or mess to mask. It's a bit pricey, but it's a game-changer, especially if you have cats or dogs.

Effective but not perfect

Removes the smell. Doesn’t really work on older stains though and if not properly removed as directed can lead to an unpleasant mold smell. But it’s a great size for the price
