When operator error is not involved. this cheap adapter works as described, flawlessly!
I just upgraded my studio iPad to the new (2025) iPad Air. For my music studio application, it is important that the iPad not deplete its battery in the middle of a session, so I need it to be continually connected to power. Also, because I am using its Bluetooth for WIDI- control purposes, I need to get the audio out from the USB-C port, because these new iDevices no longer have phone jacks. I thought it would be a simple process to find an adapter that passed through the audio from the USB port and also allowed the iPad to be plugged into a charger. Looking for such a device on Amazon, I found that almost all of the offerings had negative reviews that suggested that they could not simultaneously allow charging while passing audio, or that when a charger was connected the audio was seriously distorted. I purchased this cheap Thousover adapter on the hunch that it would work as advertised. To my complete satisfaction, this adapter happily charged the iPad when connected to an Anker 30W wall-plug power supply, while it simultaneously provided pristine stereo audio to my audio interface (and DAW). So, if you have a modern Apple iDevice with a USB-C jack, this item WILL work for you.

Honestly pretty good
This 2-in-1 USB-C to aux and charger adapter is pretty good at doing just that. I have a Samsung S23 and found it very helpful to have the adapter since the S23 does not have an aux cord input anymore. One thing to keep in mind though is that the adapter does not work with my fast charger, it just charges at the normal pace. Otherwise, the adapter works pretty well.

GREAT PRODUCT
Love this little item as it allows me to listen to my tablet and charge it at the same time. Very affordable and works great.

Works intermittently and never with both inputs
I bought this to replace a similar item that was stolen out of my car. The one stolen combined the USB power supply with a 3.5 mm jack in the same body whereas this has two cords. I'm not sure if that made a difference and I can't find the old one anywhere or I'd buy it again, but this current item I'm reviewing makes a very loud repetitive popping noise when both the power and the audio are plugged in. On top of that, somehow some signal is propagated which causes the playback to stop, or even hit the next button on YouTube. I don't understand the electro-mechanics of what is happening. I thought it could be some feedback interference from the power to the audio, that must back propagate a signal in some way. In any case it's virtually useless. I need something like this to combine power with listening pleasure. I can already do either of them individually with fewer parts, so it's virtually useless and so I have to give it one star.

I pick up a radio signal?
when I plug my phone charger into my switch dock or my computer and then into the dongle and then plug my headphones in, I start picking up a radio station. it's really quiet but I can tune in to different stations by angling and changing positions of the wires.plugging in my USB C to USB C wall charger does not work.factors: in a basement, USB 2 to USB C cable is plugged into desktop front IO or Nintendo switch dock and female side of dongle, no audio is playing on computer and switch is not docked (dock only), headphones are plugged into dongle, male side of dongle is not plugged in.

Works Inconsistently, Issues with Moments of Silence
I have two issues with the adapter, using it with my Pixel 6 Pro and mostly Koss KPH40 headphones, though I've experienced the issue with other headphones and this adapter as well.First, it doesn't always work. I often have to wiggle the USB C connection to get it to work. If using it with Youtube, it will often pause the video after just 1-2 seconds of working and delivering audio. If I hit play after this, audio no longer works unless I wiggle the connector. This usually works, but sometimes I have to unplug, plug it in, and try again. Once it is working for more than the initial few seconds of playback, however, it usually continues to work until the adapter or headphones are unplugged at least. Also, it sometimes triggers the phone to listen for voice commands. This happens most often when the adapter is first connected to the phone or when headphones are first connected to the adapter (if the adapter is already connected to the phone).Second, brief moments of silence in the media I'm listening to cause it to drop audio until there is sound again. If there is dramatic pause or moment of silence in the media I'm listening to (with no background noise in the media, like music) I will not be able to hear the first word or two after the pause. It's like the adapter turns the volume down if there is no signal for a second and then quickly turns it back up once there is signal again, but not fast enough. This isn't so much an issue with music though a pause between tracks might cause you to miss the first few notes of the next song, but very frustrating with other forms of media. At first I wasn't much bothered by the issue, but I listen to a lot of spoken audio (podcasts, audio books, videos) and it has become quite frustrating. I might just get a different dongle without the power-in feature and see if it works any better.
