Great Value
This is a great knife for under $30.PROS:- Perfect lock up- Smooth roller action- G10 is nicely finished and feels like higher-end micartaCONS:- Did not arrive as sharp as some competitors- Nothing special or excitingThis gem by Petrified Fish rivals the quality of knives that cost >$100 a decade ago. (Note: it is manufactured in China.) I accidentally grabbed it the day it arrived in place of my usual folder and it spent a day working on my farm with me. It was solid, sharp and performed great. Compared to <$30 folders, the D2 steel is not as nice as my Ruike with 14c28n steel and the blade size-to-handle and geometry is not as nice as my Ganzo Firebird. However, the pocket clip is stronger than the Ganzo's (which I have broken twice) and the fit and finish is better than m Ruike. (I've given 3 Ruike's as gifts and the quality varies.)Overall, you can't go wrong with this as a beater knife. It needs some sharpening out of the box but performs like D2 always does once sharpened.

Great Value
Super sharp out of the box, great finish on blade and handle, smooth opening, strong detent, tight lockup. Unique design, equal or better than knives costing four or five times as much. Highly recomended.

Incredibly high value for the price!
I have been selling knives for years and am a collector. I found this blade as a gift for a coworker and inspected it before giving it to him. I regret not keeping it lol. This is of $100 quality at a very affordable price. The steel, finish, and edge were beautiful. Quality g-10, excellent blade centering, and action. Not to mention the box and goodies that came with it! I'll be getting my own next paycheck. Highly impressed and satisfied by this knife!

Great knife
Got this on sale, wanting to try a new brand. I am wonderfully surprised at how good this knife is. I got the one with the carbon fiber inlays and it looks awesome contrasting with the shiny stainless steel blade. Great to fidget with it and makes a nice substantial "ting" when I flick it open. Ceramic bearings are very smooth. And yes, it is very sharp.

Review Update! Liked modern design. Knife tip broke off. Defective? Bad steel?
Like modern design. Sharp edge. 1st knife from PF. Had knife since March. Used lightly and expected to last long time. However, knife tip broke off today. Defective? D2 steel not strong? Disappointed. Return ended a few weeks ago. Any warranty Seller? Hopefully they’re reputable company.Review update 6/1/24:I was promptly contacted by Tina from Petrified Fish following my previous review. She quickly addressed my concerns about the knife and sent out a new one without delay. At my request, she provided a different model with a thicker blade. I like this model design (PF-838CS-Pub Satin, Carbon fiber G10) as well as the previous one. Very modern looking. Sharp. Good weight. Fits good in the hand. The handle feels a little edgy, especially with the belt clip. Overall, the knife appears to be off good quality and built.Again, I’m very pleased with Petrified Fish’s commitment to their products. I look forward to using my new knife and will definitely consider this company for future purchases, both for myself and as gifts. I wish them continued success. Thank you again!

Good Budget Knife
Good all around knife. Can't go wrong with D2 steel. Detent is good, blade is almost fall shut. Carbon fiber inlay is done nicely and doesn't look cheap. Enjoy the way the top swedge on the blade falls and follows the fiber insert. Flipper tab is a good size and has enough jumping to use both the light switch and push button technique. My only complaints are these- I hate the clip. It works well, but it looks cheap and doesn't fit the knife esthetics. A Ti clip on this model would look fantastic! The other is the designers name displayed on the clip, a small thing, but again, takes away from the overall look. The last is the backspace. It is proud, and again, looks like it belongs on a tactical blade. A smooth, flush spacer out of a contrasting G10 or other material would take this piece to a 10.

JAW-DROPPING VALUE
An absolutely stunning knife in person, more so than most photos. I have things ranging from a $30 QSP knife up to a $300 ZT and I’m blown away by this knife. Fit, finish, action, materials, tolerances, centering, lock-up are all A+.My only (moderate) complaint is the factory edge is a little meh, but for $38 dollars, it’s suspicious how something this good can be this inexpensive. Drop shut action out of the box, everything about this indicates a $100 + price tag. Extremely happy with this purchase!

Super Surprised!!!
Okay. I'm going to start this off by saying that I was quite hesitant to purchase this knife. I liked the looks of it, but was very unsure about it's build quality. I'm not going to lie, the manufacturer's name didn't exactly get me all excited, but that is probably from years and years of buying knives from the big name knife makers, which will get you in the poor house in short order. Anyway, after a whole lot of back and forth, and also advisement after watching a video review about this brand and style on YouTube from 704 Gear(704 Tactical), I took the plunge. Boy was I surprised! This knife was carefully and thoughtfully packaged, and shipped very quickly. As soon as it was delivered to my doorstep, I hurried out and gathered up my quarry like a hungry squirrel to a canister of nuts. This blade is incredible! It comes nice and sharp, although I touched it up to my liking. The blade swings out quite smoothly and locks with a very nice, satisfying "click." Trust me when I say, you'll be flipping this thing open and closing it without even thinking about it! The blade is made of D2 tool steel, so it should hold an edge quite well. It has good, but not aggressive jimping, and blade centering is on par with higher end knives. Overall, I have nothing to complain about. If you have been on the fence about buying one of these to add to your collection or edc rotation, take it from me. This is WELL WORTH the money and I doubt that you'll be disappointed.
