This is a great upgrade I purchased myself over the old dual 2.4 / 5 gHz ASUS card I had. It seems very well built, much sturdier. I like that the cables are thicker and joined more solidly. The antenna is very nice and bigger so I assume its going to work better in tougher conditions. The reason for my upgrade was just that the old thin cables had been removed on the card end and they never worked as good when reattached. This card is very fast / efficient indeed, I am using it just for 5 gHz wi-fi 6 and it is so good that I get A+ scores when running the waveform bufferbloat test. I have my home network optimized with SQM so its as fast and latency free as possible, but still with the old ASUS card the wi-fi on the device that needs the wi-fi card was not able to get better than a C score. Waveform say to not test over wi-fi, but just as a slight indicator on how well the card runs, I like to test it anyway! So very impressed with this card, and hopefully many years of service to come from it. I have no use for bluetooth so cannot speak of that.

We moved into a new high rise apartment that has gigabit fiber internet and my macbook was getting very fast speeds in the office which is on the other side of the apartment. My other PCi card in my gaming desktop was only pulling 5mbps max. Couldn't even play a Titanfall 2 match. Ordered this card...installed in 2 minutes and now my desktop is crushing my macbook. This card is amazing!!!

This is a fully featured network card with WiFi and Bluetooth. Setting Up: Open up the package, grab the card itself, and press it into one of the PCIe slots on your motherboard. Make sure you take out the metal or plastic inserts on your PC case so that the antenna ports can stick out the back of your PC. If you need to use this card with Bluetooth, connect the 8-pin or 7-pin USB header connector from the card to your motherboard. Then place the antenna on top of your case and connect the two cables to the end of your card. Grabbing drivers for this network card is somewhat confusing and difficult, especially if you are not technically inclined. Search online for the exact model number of this network card (copy and paste from the Amazon listing), and look for ASUS' "Drivers and Downloads" page. Download the ZIP file, unzip it, and open the driver folder. From there, double click the file with the .ISO file extension to mount it, and then open the driver installation executable. If you get a popup saying something along the lines of "Windows protected your computer", search online for how to disable Windows Smartscreen, so that you can download the drivers for the card. Click to download the drivers you need (ex: WiFi driver, Bluetooth driver), and once the drivers are installed, exit the installer and unmount the ISO. Restart your computer, and the WiFi and Bluetooth should work perfectly! Experience: This works well with my bluetooth keyboard and mouse, the Logitech MX Keys S and the MX Master 3S. They connect within seconds of booting into Windows, and I have had no trouble with them not connecting. This card works with WiFi 6E, so my WiFi speeds have increased over 100mbps compared to a cheap TP Link USB WiFi dongle. Great product!

I was actually really surprised how easy this was to install and get running. I'm techy, so the installation wasn't going to be an issue, but there's always some kind of hardware or driver issue on these kind of cards. I live in a concrete apartment, and this pierces through 2 walls and still holds 5 bars. I also stopped disconnecting immediately. Honestly, anything is better than an onboard wifi desktop card from Intel. I haven't had a decent one in my life. As far as the bluetooth goes, it connects my xbox series 1 controller and doesn't drop. I can get about 20 steps away without issues. Audio has issues, but that's more so Windows having terrible bluetooth support. My only advice is to make sure you disable your wireless chip in your BIOS after you install this. It can get confusing if you're not comfortable installing new hardware.

I bought this to replace an external USB Bluetooth adapter that didn't perform well. So far this is proving to be a solid little card with the performance I have come to expect from Intel radio chips and the external antennas have greatly improved the range and functionality of my bluetooth experience. I appreciate that Asus chose a PCIE card where the SMA connectors are soldered to the PCB for added strength which will increase the longevity of these ports. Some recommendations for future or current owners of this card: - PCIE = WiFi, USB = Bluetooth. Therefore if you need the Bluetooth functionality, you will need to connect the included cable from an internal USB2 header on your motherboard to the header on the rear of the card. If you're out of USB headers, consider an internal USB-Header Hub. The included cable is a bit short so if you have a big case or your USB headers are far away, consider getting a USB2-header extension cable too. - I recommend downloading & installing Intel Driver & Support Assistant (Intel DSA). This tool is great for getting the right drivers from Intel without having to search around their website - it will scan your computer for Intel products like this card, automatically grab the drivers, and even keep them updated for you. As a bonus, let it work its magic for any other Intel hardware it identifies in your PC (recommend creating Restore Point just in case!) - Windows 10 seems to struggle to identify the Serial interface of the Bluetooth, showing up in Device Manager as an "unknown bluetooth peripheral device". Technically this probably won't impact most people but if it's bugging you like it did me, you can easily fix this in Device Manager by selecting Update Driver Software > Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers > Ports (COM & LPT) > Microsoft > select model "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link" > Next, Yes, Close.

WiFi The provided magnetic base is the only way to get signal, there’s no additional antennas to install directly to the card. This wasn’t a big issue for me but I do wish the length of the cord was more than ~4ft. Another reviewer mentioned the antennas on the base can’t be removed, that looks right, too afraid to break mine. The WiFi signal is AMAZING. Far corner next to walls and heavy wood desk, router across the house, no problem for this. My original Asus usb WiFi wouldn’t drop signal and have horrible download speeds. Bluetooth I wish the card would provide power without having to run a cable to an internal motherboard header, but that could be the limitations of the pcie slot. My motherboard didn’t have any open internal usb ports but buying a cable adapter (9pin to USB type a) and having it plug to an open usb 2.0 slot made it work without hassle. I can’t really tell any difference compared to having a tiny Asus Bluetooth dongle… Would recommend this card!

This review is for Linux on an AMD Ryzen PC with X570 chipset. The card is advertised on the box as Linux-compatible, and it works perfectly. You need an unused USB2.0 motherboard header for the Bluetooth. I'm on Arch Linux 6.2.10 and I only had to physically install the card, no driver install was necessary. I cannot speak for the Windows experience, but there are detailed instructions included for that. Definitely read them BEFORE opening your Windows PC at all. My PC shows up as a WiFi 6 client on my Unifi controller. WiFi quality is generally very bad in my house, but I'm able to get around 400 Mb/s when testing with iperf3 to a local wired computer. I used to get half that on my previous motherboard with built-in WiFi .11ac (a.k.a "WiFi 5") with a small dinky antenna. Bluetooth is the main reason I got this and is working with my Galaxy earbuds and Xbox One controller. As for the antenna itself, the base has a magnet and its strong enough to stick sideways on to my standing desk leg. The cable is very short though, it's around 2-ft.
