GOOD PRODUCT
This product was delivered by UPS to wrong address... Both times a shipper used UPS over the last year, package was dropped off at a wrong address. Spent a day trying to locate package and UPS was no help. Going to request any shipper using UPS that they give to another shipper...

Step Bit
I have used it on 1/4 inch thick structural aluminum. This cut like butter. This was also a good value.

Used to cut hole in SS sink
We used this to cut a hole in a stainless steel sink... worked great! Didn't comment on longevity as I've only used it once but it shows to wear after that one use.One tip: drill a pilot hole first then put this in the pilot hole. Also, if you're going through stainless steel, go at the highest RPM and bounce it up and down. it'll get through without binding.

Not Cobalt. PoS
Couldn't even drill through 1/8 inch plate steel, with cutting oil, let alone stainless steel. I have purchased many cobalt bits in the past and there's no way this is cobalt.

The double flute is the way to go
I was using the single flute step bits and after eating away two of them decided to try these double spiral fulte design. These are way better, not even close. They slice right through steel with ease. You have to just take it slow as you approach the step size you want or you can easily cut right through it. I recommend these. I was making holes in steel electrical junction boxes 14ga thick.
