Let's be honest—nobody gets excited about shelf brackets. They're basically the supporting actors of home improvement. But these things deserve a little recognition. These brackets are the real deal. The steel is thick, solid, and substantially heavier than the average shelf bracket. Once mounted, they feel absolutely rock solid. The finish is clean and professional, giving them a quality appearance instead of the usual "hidden hardware" look. They look good enough that you don't mind seeing them. One thing I especially appreciated was the hardware package. The manufacturer included different fasteners for different mounting situations, whether you're going into wood, drywall, or other surfaces. Even better, they included a couple of extra pieces. That's a small detail, but anyone who has ever dropped a screw into another dimension while installing something knows exactly why that's appreciated. I bought shelf brackets. What arrived felt more like structural equipment. Strong, well-made, thoughtfully packaged, and worth every penny. Stop looking, You've found the right ones. This is not a paid review. The only compensation I received was the satisfaction of putting up a shelf that hasn't fallen on my head.

Perfect. The brackets are sturdy, nicely made and look good in both my MCM style living room and in my Mission style rec room. The kit includes everything you may need: Brackets, screws, sheetrock anchors, concrete anchors and even a very handy magnetic level. At less than $25 for a box of six (less than $4.50 apiece} the price is excellent and FAR less than Lowes ($96 for six apparently identical brackets, with no level or sheet rock anchors). The nominal 1x8 boards from Lowe's fit these brackets perfectly. And they came overnight with free (Prime) shipping. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I was looking for. As described. Solid and sturdy. Happy to see they included screws and anchors for both stud or drywall installation. Easy and accurate install. Perfect for 2x8 boards (7-1/4 actual width).

These are nicely manufactured in that they are all exactly the same (with no variations) and with nice countersunk holes for the provided black flat head wood screws. I used a stained 1x12 #2 whitewood (Eastern Pine) from Lowes for the shelves. With these brackets solidly installed into wall studs at 32" on center (every other stud) the 1x12 shelf will easily support a heavy book load. I like the look better than the brackets that have the vertical leg below the shelf. It looks a lot cleaner. It is probably inevitable that your stud layout will result in a bracket or two needing to be installed between solid wood studs. In this case, do NOT use the sheetrock wall anchors provided with the brackets as they will pull out of the wall under an appreciable load. Instead, get some "Snaptoggle" toggle bolts and replace the provided bolts with #10-24 x 1.25" flat head machine screws in black. These toggle bolts are incredibly strong and easy to install. I am adding a postscript to my review regarding bracket spacing recommendations. With a heavy book load, the 1x12 shelf boards don't sag with the brackets spaced 32" apart, however I have found that the brackets themselves are overstressed by about 30% (they are only rated at 80# each.) Heavy books weigh up to about 36# per lineal foot so the maximum spacing of the brackets should be 24" apart. At 32" apart, they won't pull out of the wall if they are fastened into studs but they will sag a little bit back to front under this load. So I added additional brackets in between the installed brackets and now they are 16" apart at the heavy book shelf. The load on each bracket is now less than 50# but they STILL sag about 3/16" from back to front when loaded with books! No danger of structural failure and the sag is not really noticeable.

Allerdings wurden hier in der Beschreibung falsche Maße angegeben. 7,25" sind NICHT 20,3 cm, wie in der Überschrift zu lesen, sondern 18,4 cm ! Artikel war somit also zu kurz und wurde zurückgegeben.

Good strength comes with black hardware and a little level. The level makes a great “bonus toy” for the kids when you’re done. Not a chance you could find nice hardware like this for less at the hardware store, and least not where I live.

Loved these we stained the pine wood Jacobeen, goes well with brackets. They give you a leveler and screws to go with hardware, looks really nice in my cloffice.
