I am ever SO confused and broken hearted!!!
Never...NEVER...would I have ever dreamed that ISOTONER would OR could let me down so profoundly especially when it came to my old standby THE terry balareena flat/slipper!!! UNTHINKABLE yet true nonetheless.I wear a size 8-8.5 in shoes, boots etc, sometimes a straight 8 in saddles or open footwear. So, I ordered the Large as the size chart references sizes 8-9---and my big toe was easily an inch past the rubberized sole and stubbed by the fullest extent of material...back they went and I ordered an XL, the next size option up, though their chart referenced a size 9.5 -10.5!!! Quite obviously they, like so many other products/clothing are SUDDENDLY being made much smaller sooooo, okay. Well, they are falling off my feet unless I shuffle which is utterly obsurd not to mention difficult given the sole. I thought of washing and DRYING them, but then thought better of it. And now almost every single review I've read for a similar slipper, regardless of manufacturer or material, ultimately describes the SAME problem either in sizing or in overall quality by comparison to the buyers past purchases of the same item.It appears that we are almost uniformly getting used to "sizing up" given the shift to offshore manufacturing. I'm a fairly liberal/"BLUE" person politically (Phil Ochs is laughing over that line), but come on guys, get your act together!! And to the brands that have been 'household names for decades, if you're going to shift to off shore manufacturing, institute some target-market-specific standards and quality control that doesn't leave your FORMER reputation in the dust!! ...okay, putting my 'soap box' away...Amazon customer service, PLEASE don't blacklist me, but I've got yet another return...

Still searching for the perfect slipper
Don't get me wrong, these are pretty good overall compared to the majority of the horrific excuses for slippers they make today. I can't pinpoint the exact date of the downfall of the slipper, but it was sometime around 2012. I had been buying a padded velour terry ballerina slipper made by dearfoam for years that had a flexible, long wearing rubber sole. It had a cushy quilted interior and held up to multiple washings and wearing on stone floors. I still have carefully hoarded away 2 pair and keep trying other brands, hoping for a winning substitute. The new style dearfoams don't fit the same, don't feel the same, and don't wear the same. Which brings me here.....I do like the padding on these, although I can feel the edge of the rubber edge on the bottom from time to time. Yes, they are soft. But really to the point of stretchy 'sloppiness' that allows my foot to slide around a bit. My old slippers do not do that, and why I also never buy the stretch satin styles.I wear a pretty solid size 9.5 and purchased these in grey, size XL 9.5-10.5. The length of the rubbery base is correct for the length of my foot, and probably someone that wears a size 10. However, the amount of excess stretch and fabric on the upper part for someone with an average width foot like mine causes movement of the foot with a feeling of instability. I'm positive if I had tried a size L the rubber sole would have been much too small to be comfortable. So these are a fair compromise and better than quite a few slippers I have tried, even with the shortcomings. But I'm still searching for the perfect slipper.

Isotoner makes great slippers. Have been wearing them forever
Isotoner makes great slippers. Have been wearing them forever. Not sure what happened but the 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 size really means 7 1/2 +. They fell off my feet and extend above the toes in a weird way.I wear a 7. The new slippers are replacing Isotoner ballet slippers, see photos. First photo is both pairs side by side and the second photo is the new pair that extend way beyond the toes.Could not wear and have to return. Major inconvenience. .

So Poorly Made Now
I've bought Isotoner for years, but they're not made the way they used to be. First of all, they fall apart rather quickly (When I was a kid, I had my Isotoner slippers for years before I had to replace them, now I go through a pair in a few months). They also no longer fit snuggly on my foot and the sole is way too narrow. So between the narrow, unstable sole and my feet's constantly slipping out of them, I've grown to despise these things.

Great Quality, Safety & Confort! Even for Difficult Feet
After years of wearing a smaller size of Isotoner ballet slippers with leather bottoms, I decided to try the terry ones to help my comfort level. Needed a little more toe room for conditions that happen to our feet as we age. While the XL 9.5-10.5 is technically too long for my foot (I wear a ladies 8.5-9M shoe), the comfort level from the larger toe box is worth the slight hang over in the heel sole area. For anyone struggling with hammer toe, bunions or hang nails, I'd suggest going up a size from your normal shoe. That being said, now about the quality. I have purchased other name brands and a few off brands in the past from Amazon and other retailers. You get little houseworn mileage out of others and they can't be washed for disintegrating. With Isotoner, you get quadruple the life! I have already washed my terry pair twice and they still look brand new! Always air dry (especially for the leather soled) but regular cool-warm wash in your machine and voila! Love these ballet slippers! They stay put to prevent falling, they are no skid and non-marking, they wear and wash well and the price can't be beat! Thanks Isotoner! This review is coming from a long time (25+ years) ballet slipper wearing Gal!

Comfortable but poor quality
These are comfortable; however, after 4 days of wearing them everyday they are fraying where the material meets the sole. I had high expectations and I'm disappointed that they won't last long.

I suspect this is not Isotoner
Poor quality, When compared with Isotoner slippers bought from the original suppliers. Doubt that they are genuine. I ordered medium and received a pair that were six and a half to seven and a half.

Hopeless sizing
Large says 5-6. I am 5/12 and theft are huge on me. I shall try to hot wash them in the hope they shrink a bit. Always buying your ballerina slippers. Shall have to find something else now I think 😢😢
