Absolutely spot on. These are one of those rare bits of kit that just works. No faff, no leaks, no cracking under pressure. Snaps on and off like a dream even under full flow. Solid German engineering as you would expect. If you are still wrestling with cheap drippy fittings do yourself a favour and upgrade to these.

Good fittings, have slowly shifted all my fittings from another hoze standard and been quite happy. Slightly thicker teeth in the connector and nice clamping force when they tightened properly. Out of about 10 fittings over 6 months I've not had as much as a drip from them yet.

You can repair an American hose that “muscular men” have abused and cause the fatigue of metal fittings causing a leak that sprays water all over you. Gardena shows you can cut off the defective part and replace it with the Gardena quick release adapter. I have had Gardena equipment for years, but I never saw that video before, maybe it’s new or I just missed it. Anyway this fix saved the old hose from the landfill (or H-Power plant) and me having to go buy an entire new hose.
