Crochet Amigurumi for Every Occasion: 21 Easy Projects to Celebrate Life's Happy Moments (The Woobles Crochet) Review: A terrific introduction to crochet. - I have spent years trying to learn how to do a crocheted magic circle and I have never been able to do it correctly. Yet it was only 20 minutes with this book and I was holding a perfect magic circle and creating a Woobles body. The instructions are crystal clear with illustrative photos and a generous use of white space. The patterns refer to a page number to review a technique, so you don't have to flip around in the book. The patterns are cute, and while I will probably make a few of them, I am also inspired to make my own designs. This is a great book for beginning animigurumists. Review: Great Book. Get the spiral version if you can! - I have been working my way through the Woobles and love how easy it was to learn to make Amigurumi animal figures. The patterns are so easy to read, and there are step by step tutorials in the book and videos online. The videos btw, are great. They go slowly and show you every step of the process without feeling like they're talking down to you. This book gives even more patterns and fun little add ons. I wanted to get it originally from the Woobles website, but they were sold out. So finding it from this seller was a great find. Also, they offer the book with a spiral binding, so you can lay the book flat making it so much easier to read the pages while you work on the pattern. If you ever wanted to dip your toes into crochet, I firmly suggest either getting one of the Wooble kits or get this book and some of the easy peasy yarn they use. If you're a new comer, regular yarn is hard to see your rows in. And the easy peasy yarn looks great for these amigurumi figures.

Great reference book for Wooblers!
I have a couple of Woobles kits and this is an excellent addition! It has cute patterns, especially the accessories that can be made for all your other Woobles. The section on all the stitches is really nice to have handy when you don't want to go hunt down the tutorial video. The kits are great and taught me to crochet, but they're a bit pricey. This book has many cute patterns without paying for more hooks and needles, packaging, tutorials etc. since you already have those things if you have a kit or two. I really wish The Woobles would release more pattern books!!

Great to Get your Hand into Crocheting Cute Stuff
The "Woobles" brand is designed to start out people who have never held a crochet hook before, or have limited experience. The designs are made to use simple elements that can be picked up by a beginner. The focus is that anyone can do it. The first section has really clear pictures and instructions on how to do different stitches and other finishing techniques, as well as how to read patterns- basically everything you need to know. If you are still struggling, they have a youtube with a ton of quick instructional videos. Amigurumi is a lot of variations on the same basic shapes, so once you are comfortable with them you can move on to other patterns. When starting out I would flip from the project I was working on back to the page showing how to do the stitch, so I could be sure I was doing each part right. Personally, I had learned some crochet from my grandmother, but just some basics for a flat blanket. And I learned I was doing some things wrong. This book made me comfortable crocheting in the round and stitching pieces together. The star was one of my favorite patterns starting out. It's a flat pattern with a lot of increases and decreases (it's 2 stars sewn together in a sandwich), so if you're not comfortable with something round start there and just pay close attention to each row. It still starts with a magic circle, which you use for round pieces too. I do have to say, when you're starting out, don't be afraid to take apart and redo what you're working on many times. Part of it is just training your hands to do the right thing. You will learn more if you're not just committed to finishing, but are practicing understanding the stitches. Also don't be afraid to use lots of stitch markers! There is also an excellent support group on Facebook. Another note, the Woobles also have a variety of kits that include everything you need to do a specific pattern. Some of their kit patterns (some were limited edition or retired) are featured in this book (such as the cactus and dinosaur), while other patterns are only in the book. They still have a lot of animal kit patterns that are not in the book, so if you like their patterns there are still more you can find. Some of those patterns (but not all) are sold individually if you don't want a full kit.

Nice Book
I am a self taught, YouTube crocheter. I wouldn’t say I am a beginner, but I am also not my grandmother that could seemingly whip out a sweater while watching the evening news... This books has beautiful pictures, clear directions (if you know how to read a patterns) and cute projects. It also has tips and tricks, as well as stitch instructions for beginners. My only “complaint” (more like an “Awww man.”) is there is a website and QR code at the beginning of every project that takes you to the Woobles website. I got so excited thinking the webpage/QR Code would take me to a tutorial video of that particular project, but it doesn’t. When I figured that out, my excitement quickly turned into “Awww man.” Then I started thinking, “Well, duh, what did ya expect?! I did buy a book after all.” Anyway, the website only has a few of the projects from the book posted and doesn’t include all of the ones from the pages with the QR code. I guess I found those codes a little misleading because it lead me to different projects. Either way it’s a cute book and I am excited about making my first cute little animal. I’m sure I’ll eventually figure it out, even without a video.

Whoa! I am so completely impressed by this book. The directions and pictures, are so clear to understand and follow. The book also provides a QR code to watch videos to help further. This is the best crochet book on the market by far. I am so grateful I came across it, and since buying the book I have made many Amigurumi and I just took the leap to try to make a crochet ottoman. I wouldn't have had the confidence if it wasn't for this book, so I thank you. And also would love more books by you!

For my granddaughter’s tenth birthday, this was a perfect fit. She is making bees as her first project.

Woobles taught me to crochet and this book is a fab additional to learning new techniques and with the QR code to take you straight to video tutorials, it's been a gamechanger! Also, their email support is amazing. Their customer service answers any queries promptly, with lots of great info and more videos to help support anyone brand new to crochet - plus they're so friendly and totally understand that it's difficult to learn a new skill. I've made a lot from this book and I'm finally getting the hang of it!
