I got this so my daughter wasn't wasting so much paper on doing math problems. She loves practicing math but goes through SO much paper. This works great. The little dots are from her pinky finger while she was writing, it erased just fine. I think she just put a little extra pressure there. She's been writing words and letters on his all day. She even kneeled on his on accident and nothing happened so I'd say durability is good as well. Only thing I noticed which I haven't had to deal with yet is where the battery goes. The screw is SOOOOO small. Luckily it comes with a battery already in it so I don't have to worry yet, but be prepared to have an eyeglass screwdriver on hand. The screw is actually smaller but I think eyeglass ones will work ok. Hopefully!
