Australian Sunscreen Sheer Lotion Body, SPF 50+ 89ml

My husband is dark skinned and was tired of using my pastey thick white sunscreen for my fair skin. He gets hot really quickly and thick oily paste didn't feel comfortable on hot days even if he was in and out of the water. I got this for him and he loved how light it was. It's white out of the tube and quickly disappears on the skin. We also both tested it after playing in the Southern California shore break waves which can hit hard and wash off your SPF. We reapplied once after the ocean and never experienced a burn. I love this product now too.

Love love this!! Must rub in good, but then it is clear and not the white haze some mineral ss does! Working in yard in tx heat all day no burn! Pool for hours and only had to apply once. Great sunscreen

This will go on white when first applying; then it will slowly go clear on skin. However, a slight white cast will still be noticeable. If you are a man with facial hair/a beard, then it will not clear as much as applying to skin without hair and will be more noticeable. Although this sunscreen is slightly runny and could make a mess around the bottle, it is moderately difficult to apply to the skin. I would advise anyone using this sunscreen to apply it with a light finger and to be careful with stretching the skin while applying. Also, this sunscreen would be more ideal for spending short amounts of time out in the sun; such as driving somewhere for fewer than 20 minutes, walking in and out of a building to your vehicle/other building, or using it early morning / late afternoon. I WOULD NOT recommend this sunscreen to anyone wanting to spend prolonged periods out in the sun. Keep in mind that this sunscreen contains only 6% zinc oxide which is a lower percentage amount and 9% titanium dioxide. Titanium Dioxide will ONLY protect against short wavelength UVA-2 rays; it DOES NOT protect against long wavelength UVA-1 rays. Only zinc oxide will protect against both UVA-1 and UVA-2 as well as UVB rays.

I love this stuff (and it’s version for faces). We live in an area with high iron content in the water and most sun blocks leave orange stains on anything laundered. Not Blue Lizard. Even more importantly, it really, really works as a sun block. I just wish the lid worked better. The flip cap almost always leaks and after being opened, I would never put it in my suitcase without first bagging it. Not a problem with the face version that has a much better screw on lid.
