I bought it to get a soldering iron with a variable (adjustable) output, this unit fits the bill.I find laying a soldering iron down when not actively using it to be cumbersome. The built in shielded holder is perfect for my use.The unit / base is stable, the cords (to the outlet and the iron) are long enough, the cord to the iron is very flexible, this is a good feature.'I assumed the Digital display of Temperature, was a gimmick I checked it's reading with a thermocouple, it is not precisely accurate, but a setting of 300 units (almost compares to deg F) seems good for circuit board soldering, and the adjustment appears linear. The display "blinks" as it is ramping to a 'new' setpoint, then is solid once there.The stand includes a "roller" (like a mini toilet paper roller) that I put 2 different sizes of solder on, works well for me.It has 2 flexible arms w/ alligator clips, they work to hold components, I always seem to need another hand.I left it on and went in the house, 20 minutes later I noticed it was in "sleep" mode, this is a great safety feature.The on/off switch is on the backside, it would be better on the front, near the temperature adjustment knob, not a deal breaker, but on the front would be more user friendly.In summary, it works well, the price was fair, the design is well thought out and useful.. I I would buy it again and recommend it for the price.

Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is the nut holding tip in place becomes lose sometimes during use. Needs a little work in it's design. Also, would better to store if wire attached to iron would detach from the base. No deal-breaker but it would be good.

The media could not be loaded.  The Soldering Station with a compact volume. You can easily place it on a small desk. All design is convenient for users. Customer service is delightful, standing on the consumer's side to resolve the issue. The service adds extra value to the item! Highly recommend it for every DIYer!

Solid product

This actually surprised me. It worked awesome and I'm not a professional so it was great for me to fix a few things and not have to spend a boat load of money.I'm not sure a professional would like it but its a great tool for me.It's exceedingly Chinese like most things bought from the internet these days but it did what I needed it to do.

When I purchased this unit, it was to replace an older, cheaper, just enough to get the job done unit. This unit works as promised. It holds temp, and frankly, I never encountered the sleep function. Not any fault on the machine, but when I soldier, it is in short spans. I will be getting another soldier unit that has a higher temp setting. Some things just require more heat. This unit is good for what I bought it for. Wiring LED's for dioramas, 3D printed pieces to give them some life, etc. Not a bad item, I should have just bought the higher temp unit I am seeking.

It's a solid package! I love the black on black design, looks very sleek.It came in excellent condition and with all parts as advertised; soldering station, soldering iron, 2 helping hands, 1 roll of solder wire, solder roller holder, 5 extra tips, sponge tip cleaner and instruction manual. Very easy to setup ( I watched a YouTube video demo).It heats up VERY quickly, literally in seconds and is an ease to melt the solder wire. It has an adjustable sleep mode, which is perfect if I happen to be away for a bit.The flexible/bendable helping hands are quite sturdy, easy to attach and works well for soldering pieces together. I love that the helping hands have a protective layer of rubber that can prevent whatever is being soldered from scratches, that's a nice touch.The soldering iron is quite secure in it's holder or station and comfortable to hold and solder with. Seems very durable. Great value!
