The length of curler is PERFECT for my very long hair
I usually buy whatever curling iron is on sale at the store. I have not really ever bought high-end, quality ones because frankly, I didn't think I needed to. Of course, I always admire what my stylists use, but I always figure that whatever they use will be out of budget for me. I can finally say that spending a little more for better quality is worth it.I first thought that this curler was too big and long. I didn't realize that I've been needing this size for a long time. I take FOREVER to curl by incredibly long hair (it is very, very long and medium-thick) with my current curlers. In my picture, I compare side by side one of the curlers I own (and a pretty standard size I'm used to). This grabs a good amount of hair and I am done in minutes whereas before I would take triple the time. One thing though, the curler doesn't do a great job of grabbing thin pieces of hair. For example, the ends of my hair are a bit thinner, and they fall out as I try to turn the curler. I have to move it up to grab more hair and then slowly move it down to "catch" the hair and turn. I hope that makes sense. Basically, it has to grab a good amount of hair because it just doesn't close tight enough for thin strands. This only has 3 heat settings. This annoyed me at first. I thought, why would an expensive (to me) curler only have three to choose from where my cheapo one has a bunch of settings? Now this will differ for everyone, but I found that the medium setting (355 degrees) is what works best for me. And when I thought about it, once I found the setting that worked in my previous curlers, I never had a need to change them. So it's essentially the same thing and it didn't matter how many options there were. This heats up incredibly fast. I'm used to waiting around a bit. The first time I used it, I almost burned myself because I put my hand near it and it was already hot. Cooling down is also fairly quick, but not as fast as the heat up.There are a lot more pros than cons for me on this one. This has replaced my other 1.5" curlers (I actually gave them away recently) because of the ease of use and just how much faster it's made styling my hair.

High Quality, Adjustable Temp is Great
I have long, wavy-ish fine hair that I mostly wear straight or, to be more honest, since I'm mom of three, I mostly wear it in a ponytail or bun for ease of getting ready and lack of time for styling. But when I do style my own hair, it's usually a blow out to smooth my not-quite-curls, that just end up looking messy or flyaway without care. Now, my salon stylist, often uses a curling iron to get those nice, beach-y waves after a cut, but I've never really been successful at recreating that look at home. Not sure this curling iron is going to make me an expert at that anytime soon, but it is pretty nice. The variable heat settings are more gentle on my fine hair, and this is lightweight, and easy to use on myself. The spring-loaded clasp can be operated cleanly with one-hand, and the barrel is long enough to (mostly) prevent my clumsy self from burning an ear. The barrel is large enough to create, wider, looser curls, and extra long for even the lengthiest locks. This also came to heat really quickly.I'm still far from a professional, but this is for sure the best quality curling iron I've owned.

Premium quality without a doubt!!!
I love Rusk haircare products so I was excited to try one of their hair appliances. Curling irons can really be a hit or miss for me. My hair is fine and is a combination of straight and wavy. It is straight near the front but super wavy/unruly in the back. Without styling, it just looks like a mess! Since I do style my hair often with hot tools, I want a product that gets the job done without being overly complicated. I need something that works well and gives me sleek, smooth looking results without spending a lot of time doing it. This product does all of that! The design is very sleek, ergonomic and modern. I was immediately given the impression that this was a well made, high quality product as soon as I removed it from the box.The curling iron fits comfortably in my hand and I didn't experience any stiffness or hand fatigue during use. (big issue for me as I have longer hair so it takes me a little longer to curl it all) It is surprisingly lightweight!I love the addition of the textured grip dots on the clamp handle! This prevents my finger from slipping off during use. (which has happened in the past!)The curling iron heats up quickly. The 3 different heat settings were more than enough for my needs. I have thin, fine hair so I NEVER want to use a heat setting that is too high as it really does a number on my hair. The curling iron itself does not get hot and I had NO issues whatsoever with burning my head, hands, or fingertips.I find the price to be VERY reasonable for the quality and end results that I was able to achieve by using this curling iron!
