Great book! Easy & clear!

My 4.5 year old daughter has enjoyed working on this workbook and frequently asks to complete more than I’ve “assigned “ for the day. It is a very good early phonics activity book containing 45 lessons. The topics covered include an alphabet review, the initial sound of consonants, the names of the vowels, vowels versus consonants, and short vowel sounds within CVC words. The majority of the book provides practice with consonant sounds. There is a degree of variety in terms of activities within the book - such as dot-to-dot, color by letter, mazes, and circling - but most activities are repeated frequently enough that my daughter knew what to do with little instruction besides reviewing the sound upon which to focus. There were a few things that were worth noting, although they didn’t detract from the book. As I mentioned, there is little work on CVC words; the majority of the book provides consonant letter sound review. The most common sound of letters is introduced, except with X. The X page introduces primarily the /ks/ sound, but also X as in x-ray and xylophone. I actually kind of like this, considering how many alphabet toys use these words for X. Overall, this is a great book, although I probably should have introduced it a little earlier due to its focus on consonant sounds.

Just make sure to be consistent with it, that's the only way it work. My Daughter Improve the since we start using it.
