Easy, inexpensive, quick fix.
I had Sears come out to repair my dryer. First time in 20 years that I've had a problem. I was informed that it was a bad heating element and it would cost $420 to repair it. I declined the repair and went online to look for a heating element. Got one the next day, 1/2 hour later my dryer was working again. Easy to install, just take some good pictures before you take things apart. Also, wear gloves as there are a lot of sharp edges. Hoping that this one lasts as long as the first. Good value.

Great deal.
It was a perfect fit for my dryer. The fact it came with all the fuses was a great bonus. I basically rebuilt my dryer for less than $30. I paid half of that for one of the fuses alone. Great deal!

Inferior quality, DO NOT BUY, potentially dangerous
As others have reported, the replacement heating element stopped working after a few weeks. But I'm here to tell you EXACTLY what the problem is.1. The resistance coil is attached to a metal plate that is TOO THIN. There are also a lot of large holes in the metal plate that were made to allow clips to be mounted. The resistance coil is attached to these clips, which appear to be made of ceramic. The OEM version has thicker metal for the plate, and the mounting holes are much smaller. The result here is that the metal plate begins to warp outward under the heat stress, most especially the heat stress coming from the coil, which sits between the metal plate and the metal mount on which the heating element is attached. Eventually, the metal plate warps enough that some part of the coil will touch the metal housing. Instant short to ground, accompanied by a tripped breaker and likely rupture of the resistance coil.2. The resistance coil itself is TOO THIN, notably thinner than the OEM version. Among other things, this means that this coil will have more of a tendency to warp and will have a much shorter life span.I've included a photo of the heating element where you can see the carbon build up on the metal plate. The plate is easily bent with a little hand pressure and is flaking off residue due to rapid corrosion. When I opened the back of the dryer, you could see flakes of corrosion building up inside the dryer housing along the bottom. So understand: You have been warned. The OEM version came in a box clearly marked "Whirlpool Corporation Factory Certified Parts." To be sure, inspect the plate and coil and compare with the old OEM version if you still have that available.

Right parts
This kit was ideal . It included all the parts and worked great.

Good so far but we'll see...
Got our dryer back to producing heat like it should. The coils had snapped after about 18 years of use, so that's probably to be expected after that long. I think all the thermostats and fuse were still good, but I used the ones from this kit anyway and kept the originals as spares. One of them took some fiddling to fit in its place and the bottom one I had to pinch the terminal a bit on the smallest connection to get a tighter fit.Not sure what the red wire in the kit is for, I didn't use it.After looking more closely at all the reviews though I'm skeptical that the coils will last a long time. They do look thinner than the ones I just replaced so we'll see.

On You tube, find your video, remove the back cover and then take photos of every connection!
Check the model number of your dryer first to be sure, but this heater element fits a massive number of different models! I am no mechanic, and no electrician, but this was easy except for the part where a 72-year-old man had to get down on the floor and get up again several times. Everything went according to plan and the dryer was fixed and up and running before you know it!
