Great little product and it arrived as described. The case holds the items really securely so no jostling about in my glove compartment. Also, it is easy to repackage after using! All the items go back in without trying to solve a puzzle and remain secure. Both fire starters work. The only reason I don’t give it a 5 star review is because there is no cheat sheet inside the kit to show each item’s usage, or perhaps even a mini survivial booklet that would include scenarios in which the items would be used. There is room for improvement in providing additional information for the user.

Unfortunately did not get lost in woods as planned. Purchased as just-in-case for recent camping trip. Kept with me during lengthy walkabout and tried hard to get lost. However, kept my orientation, and found way back to my family, where my 3 yr old son was blowing the whistle incessantly in fear I had been swallowed up by the forest. Each product seems a little basic, but for the entire package, a pretty awesome little kit.

My kit arrived incomplete. It is listed as a 13 item kit and mine has only 11 items. It is missing the emergency blanket and the wire saw, which were two things I was looking forward to most when ordering this!We'll see if the company is willing to make it right, but otherwise, I would absolutely not recommend buying this.

Arrived on time and in good condition. the kit was quite a surprise as to the quality of pieces included; I kept it for the boat instead of gifting to a young 14 year old boy! Great job!

Bought this out of curiosity some years ago. Out of all the tools, half broke and the other half were never useful. I guess it makes a good stocking stuffer, but for practical real world use, your money is best spent elsewhere.

This was a gift for my 14 yr old son. He loved it! It's definitely the perfect gift for any young adventurer. However, the compass doesn't point true north and the pen broke with just gentle handling. Otherwise would've given 5 stars.
