Moen Chateau brushed Chrome One-Handle Posi-Temp Eco-Performance Shower and Trim, Valve Required, TL182BC

I simply needed to replace the visible parts of my shower fixtures during a bathroom remodel. The old parts were just too hard to get clean of water spots and were unsightly. This was exactly what I needed for a decently low price.The kit included: new angle pipe for shower head, cover plate for the shower pipe, new faceplate for the handle, new handle (with some internal handle parts), a new shower head, and of course all necessary screws.I ended up not using the shower head, since I had bought a different one that was a bit nicer, so I can't really speak to that part. Otherwise, the rest looks great. The only reason this gets 4 stars, rather than 5, is because the faceplate for the handle assembly is made out of plastic. The original was metal. But, with it installed, nobody will ever know.

I gave this 4 stars because I was missing the screw to secure the shower handle. I located a screw to work for now but the handle is not tight because of this. I'll be purchasing another repair kit to fix something that was supposed to be included, yet was not. Otherwise, the set is beautiful and functions terrifically. Looks very sharp in our spare bathroom.

I am a petite female with absolutely no plumbing experience whatsoever. I was able to remove the old (with a screwdriver and a hammer) and install the new with a drill in under 45 minutes. Instructions are great!

Item is a brushed nickel finish, but the valve trim plate is plastic. Looks very real though. I only knew it was plastic because the first one I received was damaged. The trim between the handle and the trim plate is chrome. Looks mismatched, and stands out like a sore thumb. This item looks outdated, looks like something styled in the 80’s. The interesting particular one is not shown on Moens website. Not sure if it is a carry over style or what???. The price is good compared to other style Moen trim kits, and includes the shower head. It functions good, just the best looking style. Many people complained that the dried water spots would not come off. With anticipation I would have the same problem, I applied automotive paint sealant to it. I have not had any problems with water spots so far.

Just like you see everywhere (for a reason) this trim kit works perfectly. Simple to install and operate and a nice clean finish. My install is on an outside shower so I didn't want to send much just to have it corrode in 2 years. Not sure how this will weather, but it won't cost mush to replace if required.

The price was really great for all that you get. I didn't install the showerhead because I have a hand held. A plumber ended up installing the setup because I needed a new cartridge inside the water diverter.The lever handle is smooth and responsive. The disc, though metal, feels like it's plastic.

These were just what they promised to be. I needed to match some other things in the bathroom so the chrome was important. Easy to install (but that may be because I didn't have the tile finished when I installed it).

Still, it looks fine and is a high-quality plastic. (Most seem to be plastic these days.) Lever is metal and quite substantial. NOTE: We purchased this because we wanted to change from a three-handled faucet to the one-lever setup. We intended to purchase the PosiTemp valve at Lowe's because we weren't sure which valve matched it. Turns out Lowe's doesn't sell the valves separately; so we had to purchase the faucet with the valve included in the box. Unless you already have the correct valve in the wall, we recommend purchasing the faucet with the valve included.

Replaced my shower and the trim kit was used to renew the appearance. Easy to install as plumbing from previous Moen install was in place

thought it was more then just a trim kit. it's funny how when writing this review the description says trim only, but when I look back at my order it leaves out the only.

Solid product and works like it should. Plumber told me to stick with Moen products for new shower install.
