I’ve had a very good experience with this Anker USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter. It provides a simple and dependable way to add a wired network connection to newer laptops and other devices that no longer include a built-in RJ45 Ethernet port.Setup was straightforward. I connected the adapter to a USB-C port, attached an Ethernet cable, and the network interface was recognized without having to go through a complicated installation process. The connection has remained stable during normal use, including Internet access, large file transfers, remote administration, and general network troubleshooting.From an IT perspective, this is particularly useful to keep in a technician bag. Wi-Fi is convenient, but there are many situations where a physical Ethernet connection is necessary—configuring network equipment, troubleshooting wireless problems, testing network drops, deploying workstations, or simply obtaining a more consistent connection.The Gigabit capability is another important advantage. When connected to appropriate network equipment and cabling, the adapter provides substantially more capability than older 10/100 USB Ethernet adapters. Of course, actual throughput will depend on the connected computer, network infrastructure, cabling, and other conditions.Build quality is also good.
