I bought this on gamble since it had no reviews. The bag doesn't look like it does in the picture. The actual bag is a little more stylish with subtle accents of orange stitching in various areas inside and out. The photographs found online don't really do it justice. It's a nice bag. Seems sturdy enough. There is no middle strap that crosses between the two armstraps as shown in the photo. And that outer pocket is not there.Appearances aside, this backpack holds my 15.6 inch laptop with ease. I can fit a book and a 1 1/2 inch folder in the section next to it although I wouldn't recommend sticking hard items against it. There's 3 pockets total in this space plus the section for the laptop. The next pocket is sizeable enough to fit your paper notebook and a couple med-small textbooks in it. The last pocket is the place where you can stick all your personal junk. It comes with a cool cell phone case cushion with a little clip on the back to attach to the bag. There's pen holders, a netted pocket with a zipper, key clip and two pockets. Both sides of the bag have a place to store water bottles. At the very top of the bag by the handle there is another discreet small zipper section to hide your wallet or mobile device. No holes for headphones, or at least I didn't find one. I haven't tested it with water yet (time will tell on that one) but I did a couple test runs with it on and it sits comfortably on my back. So far I haven't discovered any defects.

I've gone through 2 of these backpacks in 1 1/2 years. I bought this backpack for it slim style and looks. And in general love the internal layout. However their quality doesn't stand up to day to day use. After a year, of relatively easier (not harsh) use the seams on the shoulder straps started coming apart. I called their support line and they were very sorry and offered to replace it under warranty. However I had to pay to ship the defective backpack back to them AT MY COST. I received a NEW replacement bag within 2 weeks. The seams on this bag started failing within 6 months and I refuse to spend $16 again to ship it back for replacement. This was my first experience with a Targus bag and I can safely say that I WILL NOT buy from them again. My past experience with bags from SOLO was much better.

The design of this Targus backpack is very nice! It looks much more expensive than it is.. It fits my 15.6 HP laptop with a little room to spare, and plenty of room to fit a few books.. I'm a woman with a mid size frame, and it is a little on the larger side for me, but its not an issue.. however a petite woman might look a little funny toting around this huge thing. Not sure if the seller has corrected the image, because when I purchased mine it was initially showing the wrong model, but the right one showed up when I put it in my cart. This backpack is the perfect size. Enough room to hold a 15.6" laptop along with a notebook the techie array of thumb drives, pens & pencils. Suggest this to anyone who wants a minimalist backpack with the right amount of space.

Better water bottle storage, would be great.
