At this point I've ordered several parts for a few different vehicles. Each order arrived on time and was a perfect fit for the vehicle. I highly recommend Detroit Axle.

So the only reason any 4 stars are given so far is due to the fact that I only just installed them. As far as ride stability and all I can’t say yet although I intend to update this review as it goes along. Installation was relatively painless as far as this all goes, if you do it yourself though just utilize YouTube and confirm the process. Also ensure you have someone else as a helping hand because you will need it. These weigh 44 pounds together so holding a 20 pound strut in place while trying to put nuts on isn’t the easiest. When looking up the process on installation, most videos and how to sites will tell you that you need to remove the cv axle. You don’t need to do that although it may make installation easier. Personally it wasn’t worth the headache. In fact a YouTube page by the name of FordTechMakuloco has a very in depth how to video on it showing how to do it without removing the cv axle. Highly recommended for anything for 04-07 Ford F-150s. You will need an impact gun, the lower bolt holding these struts on is torqued to 350 ft/lbs. It is no joke. Other than the wheel (duh), to replace these all you need to remove is the steering link and you have enough working room to get it. They came packaged well enough. Simple box with thin foam covering the end of the bolts on the top and they did come with new nuts to replace the old ones! That was great. There were no marks on the actual strut itself, it all seemed in good shape and each had a label on it of when I’m assuming it was assembled. Mine were relatively recent in October 2018. Not much else to this so time will tell. They seem like a deal too good to be true for cost but I am hoping for the best. EDIT! So 3 weeks and about 1500 miles later they are still fantastic. My truck rides great again, it visibly lifted the front end about 2 inches but that may be due to having broken coils on both sides before. No unusual noises coming from them either. Time will continue to tell and for others benefit I will try and remember to update this review. Again great deal and highly recommend. Another update, a little over a year later. Still have the struts on the truck, they have naturally gotten a little softer but still working great, no visible cracks in the coils no major rust on the shock tube itself so all in all still a great deal!

I ordered these 2 front struts for my 2011 ford edge sport FWD, for my husband to put on for me, i was quoted 1200 by an auto shop, so this saved me tons of money, the set they sent me came with a defective driver side strut that was cross threaded accidentally by the manufacturer, however a short phone call to detroit axle and they send me a free replacement within 3 days, and i was able to throw away the defective part, now i have both of my front struts installed and my edge is riding like new, maybe even better, i have the sport with the 22" tires so a smooth ride on these is hard to find, thank you very much for the amazing parts, also id like to add that my ride height was not altered and there is no noise, easy installation, and a soft ride.

I am sad to make this review, I did try to work with the seller to resolve the issue without result. We installed these strut towers on my car. We purchased them using the VIN to ensure the correct fit. Once installed we had a rubber, almost like a bouncing basketball sound when we reversed out of parking space and for a short distance when heading forward from that reverse. Something the length of a football field. This was not a sound our vehicle had prior to changing the strut towers. There was also an odd sound at freeway speeds. We contacted the seller and provided all details possible (hard to explain a rubber bouncing like sound, but we did our best) we provided pictures to prove we were talking about the right parts to include stock numbers (well the ones that were there, the laser printed ones the seller said should be there were not which we showed evidence of). I purchases new strut towers locally from a parts store (now out much more money) and the sound is gone. I provided this information to the seller as well, and asked for return instructions so I could send them back and they could be evaluated for defects so that no other purchaser goes thru the same issue. Seller did not provide information or instructions but instead said the same thing 4 different times requesting a "mechanical report" or something along those lines. I explained that I would not be paying for a mechanical inspection to waste even more money when the new struts I purchased locally resolved the issue, it would only conclude that these struts were the issue. No response since. I did try to handle it without leaving a review, and if it were addressed properly I would have given a proper review for that as well. Stay clear. Do not buy!!!

I installed these on my 150k mile Tacoma and have driven over 11,000 miles with no problem, leakage, or noise. Rides like the original OEM struts when new. Good value.

Perfect they came fully assembled easy struts fit in no problem easy work price was right and on spot.

Easy install/fit. So far so good. Quality seems good but only time will tell.

I'm working on getting a replacement will provide an update UPDATE: After some back and forth, Detroit Axle sent out a replacement. It arrived very quickly. I installed it and it isn't as noisy as before but you can still hear some rattling from time to time during cold weather. We'll see how they feel during summer. I must note that these are definitely NOT OEM.

Took 30 minutes to switch these out after wheels were off, lined up great very happy will update when I get some miles on them
