Great product
These ice packs work great over foil buffet pans/lay flat and stay cold for at least 24 hrs. Love them!

Best ice pack I've ever used
Excellent reusable cooler ice packs. They're quite affordable, the pouch is very thick and I'm not worried about punctures. I was slightly hesitant about them being user fillable, but it's a very straightforward, mess free process that took only a few minutes. They have not leaked once and I've used them for grocery runs, fishing trips, going out to kids baseball games etc. I plan on stocking up on different sizes for lunchboxes etc.

No more ice for the cooler for me.
I no longer buy ice for the cooler. These are COLD and using multiple packs and a good cooler, they last longer than is. Additionally, not ice-melt to deal with. Highly recommended. The only downside, is they take up a foot-print in my freezer, but that is where they live so they are always ready.

After several test, now happy with product
Shock cooler test (3) Test #1 using a Coleman 45quart 3day ice chest (not the best, but definitely not the cheapest) After preparing and freezing packs for 48+hrs (as required). Placed lrg pack on bottom, layered with thin towel. Placed room temp/warm drinks ontop and one more pack ontop of drinks (@20 can sodas & bottle waters). (since each pack is equivalent to 6LBS of ice, I knew, with my ice experience in this ice chest, after a good 3 hours, my drinks will be cold enough to drink). Well after 3 hours, not one drink was cold enough to drink. They were cooler then warm/room temp from when I put them in, just not cold enough for us to drink. After 8 hours I got home and checked drinks. Just a few cans on bottom of ice chest were cold enough to drink. Next test will be used with pre chilled drinks and perhaps pre chilling my ice chest left outside all day in 90°+ heat. If that don't safice then I got one more test to try. Test #2 10am pre chilled ice chest, (frozen 2 liter, frozen 1/2 Gal milk and a few ice packs) for 1hr. Ice chest was cold. 11am put in drinks, warm can sodas and bottled water, and 2 lrg cooler shocks (this time I placed cooler shock upright between water and cans) i, then placed ice chest outside in direct sunlight. 87° high today 1pm 2hrs later and all drinks are still room temp. Cooler shock still frozen. 3pm and some of the drinks are Barley starting to get cold. Very few are cold enough to drink. Far from freezing any drinks. 8pm and drink barely somewhat cooler. Still not as cold as it would have been with ice. Pretty much both ice pack are no longer frozen. Unsatisfied. I am trying to avoid buying any ice. Hmmm am I doing something wrong? Did I get a bad batch? I really want this to work as stated.I'll give it one more test. . Perhaps pre chill my drinks and add the 3rd shock cooler. Test #3 9am loaded ice chest with chilled drinks (can sodas and bottled water). (This time I did not pre chill the ice chest, I figured the chilled drinks will do just that) This time I added 3lrg packs. Placed ice chest in direct sunlight. 96° high today. 1pm now 4hrs out and drinks are still very cold. Very drinkable. All 3 Cooler shocks still frozen. So far so good. 3pm now 6hrs out. Drinks are still very cold. All 3 cooler shocks still frozen. 5pm now 8hrs out. Drinks are still very cold. All 3 cooler shocks still frozen. I am now impressed. 8pm 11hrs out. Drinks still very cold. All 3 cooler shocks are now 50% thawed out. I will end my test here. Summury After putting warm/room temp drinks into ice chest along with 2 lrg pack, as instructions indicated to do so to get 1/2 days use, other reviews indicated this worked for them but this method did not work for me. Drinks never got cold enough to drink. Yes, I understand putting in none chilled drinks will make the ice packs work that much harder. What did work for me was to insert chilled drinks and 3lrg cooler shocks. After 10+hrs., Leaving ice cheat a day in direct sunlight, Drinks are still very cold. I am now satisfied with my purchase. Happy to know I do not have to buy ice for what I need it for. Thumbs up for me.

Excellent ice retention
I couldn't be more impressed. Before Memorial Day weekend at the lake, I took the time to properly prep my cooler by pre-chilling the cooler and loading it with cold drinks, ice and these ice packs. The performance was outstanding. After an entire holiday weekend of opening and closing the lid, sitting outside in warm weather, and keeping food and drinks cold for the family, the cooler still had plenty of ice remaining. The moment that really sold me came at the end of the weekend when I found one of the leftover Capri Suns frozen solid. That was several days after packing the cooler. You will get positive results if you're willing to prep the cooler correctly, use it as intended and use these ice packs! Excellent ice retention, exactly what I was hoping for when I bought it. Very impressed and highly recommended.

Works Great!
These work great. I used 2 large packs in my cheap hard sided Igloo cooler that I think is 30 quarts. I went on a trip Friday evening to Sunday evening. It kept my drinks cold all weekend in the hot car. Even had some slush in the drinks Saturday morning and a frozen orange. When I got home Sunday the top one was pretty much done. Cool but not frozen. The bottom one was still half frozen. I did also have 3 ice blocks under it to help with the coldness. So take that info into consideration.

Incredible
Any rating less than five stars must be for totally ridiculous expectations. I have six of the large, four of the medium, five of the small, and just ordered two of the hard sided ones. The reason I have six of the larges ones is that I originally bought one set of three and one of them didn't mix up well (kinda like wet sand on one end) but still seemed to work and I emailed the company just to ask them about it....they sent me a whole new set the next day! Our typical use is to load up a cooler for a day on the lake and go out to an island for the day. In this situation I've never had one even start to thaw out and you have to insulate food to keep it from freezing. I've put a few in a 52 quart Igloo Quantum cooler with a frozen ham and frozen turkey, driven seven hours with the cooler in the bed of the truck, and when I got to where I was going the cooler was so cold on the inside that the outside of it was sweating. Taking the cooler back home empty with just the shocks inside and the cooler walls read 21 degrees. A truly amazing testimony was just last month when I brought six flats of strawberries home to South Carolina from six hours away in south Georgia. I had three coolers and plenty of cooler shocks with me, but the flats wouldn't fit in the coolers and I didn't want to move the strawberries. So, I made two stacks of three flats which came out of the farm's cooler and wrapped them with cut cardboard boxes (just a single layer) and taped them.. I put a cooler shock down each side of the taped up boxes against the sides of the flats, then folded and taped the top of the cardboard over. This was in the back of my truck under a topper for six hours. Although not really hot (in the 70s) it was very humid. When I got home, the shocks were half thawed but still 19 degrees where solid, and the strawberries were 35 degrees!!! BTW, the cooler in one of my photos is a 50 quart Igloo Overland and it has slots in the sides that were practically made for the large cooler shocks. They will slide down in the slots and make great compartments. It's amazing to use these things and have stuff come out the cooler COLDER than it was when it came out of the fridge.

Great ice chest cooler packs
These are fantastic cooler packs for your ice chest, if you have a (GOOD INSULATED) ice chest and keep it in the shade and not in direct sunlight these will last 3-4 days! Shipping and packaging was great

Injury hazard on the sharp edges near the opening or spout
The cooler bag has a design flaw in that the edges close to the spout or opening are very sharp and a sharp edge cut my arl when I was carrying it. The cooling agent may be effective, but the overall product does not work well if it cannot be handled safely!
