Best leather cream at this price point
Saphir makes the best shoe (leather) products as many shoe enthusiasts say. There are two levels of products from this company; I will restrict the discussion to shoe creams only. The upper level, Medaille D'or, is about 2~3 times more expensive when compared to the lower level (this product). Many shoe enthusiasts say the upper level is definitely a lot better, but it does not mean the lower level one is bad. Long story short, this product is basically the "watered down" of the Medaille D'or. It is still a high performance cream compared to any other shoe creams at this price point. I see some people complain that the leather did not take the staining effect from this cream at all. And here is why:Full grain leather has open pore structures ("sweat holes"), and this is why this kind of leather can take the color and nutrients from shoe cream products. However, most cheaper leather products, despite they are sold as "genuine leather," are sanded down leather (hence no pore structures to take the stain and nutrients). Companies do it because it can cover imperfections as they get worse quality hides. Furthermore, sometimes companies additionally coat a layer of plastic on the top of this sanded down leather in order to create a shiny look. As you may have guessed, this kind of leather repels stain and nutrients from creams even more. These are often referred as 'corrected grain' leather. When I buy any leather products, not only I make sure the leather is not fake, I also check whether the leather is sanded down or not. Hopefully this short guide helps some people. Best,

Made old Coach bag beautiful again
Did a great job with my very beat-up purple Coach tote. Didn't take much to do whole bag - maybe 1/4 jar. Rubbed in nicely and shined up. It is not like the many scratches just disappeared but this made them blend in better. An aged but attractive bag. Leather feels like it should - not sticky. I couldn't decide whether to get this but the other reviews helped so I thought I would post before and after photos.

Wow
This cream covers quickly and evenly. I am very pleased. I've included a picture of a pair of shoes; shoe on the left is pre-polish, the one on the right is post-polish.

New Life to My Favorite Flats!
I have a few pairs of orange flats, two are made of this really soft lamb leather. My oldest pair were in pretty faded and rough shape. (Sorry my phone takes the WORST pictures.) They had very pale spots on the heels and toes where the most scuffing and wear occurred. I was looking to just even out the color in a subtle way, not dye them orange. This cream polish worked perfectly for this job!I spread it on thinly to not over saturate the color and wiped it evenly around the entire shoe. Once finished with one, I did the other and then afterwards, went back to the first with a clean cotton cloth to buff off any residual color. A little will come back off, but the result was an even and subtle staining of the faded spots that looks really great in person. I discovered that this polish cream isn't a shining product as well, so I added a speck of the lisse to give them a tiny bit of life. (Be careful with that lisse, I think on soft and porous leather you can make a dark stain if you add too much at once!) I just kept rubbing around the entire shoe to buff it and they really turned out the way I'd hoped. If you have any leather shoe or bag that's a little faded, I'd definitely try to revive the color with the Saphir products, just test on an inconspicuous spot first to be sure you're going to like what happens. 😊

Astounded. This just saved me $500.
I used the Iris Blue and Natural colors as a last ditch effort for some old, scuffed, tired designer shoulder bags and a pair of British leather shoes. They had all seen a lot of wear and replacing them was going to cost me a fortune. I've been dreading having to spend hundreds. These items arrived early, before they were promised. The colors blended nicely, the textures are supple and they immediately breathed some new life into my older, pricey gear! I cannot believe the immediate improvement. I'm ecstatic. I'll be getting more of these colors for my collection of bags and shoes now. Each jar has at least 5 more generous applications left. Spending $18. on two of these just saved me $500. Thank you!

Fake Reviews Endorse This Horrible Shoe Cream. . . Also Fake PIctures
During the application process, I had a very favorable view of this polishing cream. However, soon I got an unpleasant surprise. One reviewer stated that the cream comes off easily. What an understatement. . . . True, the cream stains leather very nicely. But "all" of it comes off when you buff it. (And, yes, in a 2nd application, I left it on overnight just to avoid this problem. But that didn't help one bit.)By the time I finished, a heap-of cloths were strewn all about. Covered with green stains. Also, an expensive goat-hair application brush was stained green. Unfortunately, none of the cream remained on my purse.Beware. When you touch the leather you polished, you'll find that the stain comes off on your skin and clothes.

New Blues
I have a pair of blue toned leather construction style boots by Esquivel, known for unusual colors and finishes. Would the blue shade match the shoes I wanted to refresh? Would it be able to cover and blend a few scuff marks, by the ankle and toe areas? I started with a very small area on the tongue of the shoe, applied a small amount, waited and buffed. I was shocked. I basically have a new pair of shoes. I have never seen a product bring flat faded color back to life like this and give a rich glow to the leather. These are unusual shoes, color wise and I don't believe many of them were made, thus I'm really happy to have them back, better than ever. Incredible product.

Hmmmm..not that great for shoes coloring
As much as I love the brand Saphir and I buy sprays, leather cleaners non stop. That pain it just not cutting it. I have about 20 pairs of Italian flats that I tried to restore as they get worn out from wearing in the Summer and I wanted to paint innersoles in them. I did that perfectly with paint from USA that was for leather as well. That paint beaarly covers shade of the leather. I applied 2-3 times - still looks not that great. I guess when you try to recolor shoes for me at least was not a good choice. I buy Shaphir for leather cleaners and suade cleaners and they are great.

Much 'richer' and more liquid than my regular shoe polish
First time I've used this brand (was recommended to me by a colleague). So far so good. Helped bring back to life my brown leather work shoes which had not been polished since bought some months ago (!).Texture-wise this is a rich, more liquid product, especially compared with regular shoe polish I'm used to..It has helped heal the scuff marks on my shoes and really bring them back to life and they look 100% better since applying this. There is a bewildering number of colours in the range (a good thing I guess!) making it difficult to know exactly which shade to choose.Having used it, I am definitely a fan of this brand now and will buy it instead of the bog-standard one in future.

Gloss like glass....!!!
Great product. Does exactly what it's supposed to do...makes the leather shine like glass...especially if you 'spit and polish'. I would highly recommend this product, especially if you want to keep your leather shoes to last a long, long time....come rain or shine.
