worked as expected
Furnace went out unexpectedly. Did some research and appeared ignitor was likely culprit. Got this since it was the right model number and fixed the issue. Used rest of winter so far with no issues.

Saved me $5000
I had my carrier infinity system evaluated by 3 HVAC vendors since it was intermittently working. I could hear clicks but sometimes it would fire and other times it would not but the fan would just keep running. They all recommended replacement. Knowing nothing about these things, I obtained 5 quotes that ranged from $5500 to $9500. I went forward by scheduling an install for the $5000 system meanwhile researching on YouTube and Reddit. After my research, I ordered this device (price was next to nothing compared to the system replacement). Ordered through Amazon and received the day before the scheduled install for the replacement system. I replaced this myself and it took me maybe 10 minutes. Once I installed it, the system worked like magic every single time. I ended up cancelling the replacement system. So far it's been 2 months and it has been working perfectly.

Works perfect
I had a local hvac company quote $800 to install: however it had 3 screws and took less than 5min.

Just not a good fit
I can’t tell you if the ignitor itself works because I didn’t get that far in the installation. To start, it looked almost identical to the OEM one in my Carrier Infinity furnace, and even had matching specs. The plug was an ok fit. I’m not sure how secure it was though. It didn’t feel like it wanted to go on all the way with a soft click like the OEM ignitor. Also, (and I’m going to reference the product image because I didn’t take any photos of the piece I received) in the product image you can see these ridges on the “wire side” of the ceramic filament shaft, from the mounting plate back. The rest of the filament shaft is smooth. That’s like my OEM ignitor. The Duralight ignitor (this product) however had these ridges that ran most of the length of the filament shaft making for a VERY tight fit into the angled mounting bracket in the furnace. I was attempting to force it on with some slip joint pliers, squeezing the bracket and the mounting plate on the ignitor together but then I was afraid I’d crack the ceramic. The metal left dark marks on these ridges it was so tight. So I stopped where I was at, I packed it back up and returned it.I ended up having to spend a little more and get a replacement from a local Carrier dealer.

Direct replacement, well, almost, in my case.
Only 4 stars? the reason is, I had to file my original ignitor holder/bracket because this product has some very tiny protrusion on four places around the ceramic part of the ignitor, so it is very snug on the bracket and the screw holes will not line up properly without filing. Other than that, I installed it, plugged it in and it fired my heater right up. Longevity wise, we will have to see, just installed last night (1/18/23)
