Playseat Trophy Gaming Chair – A Lightweight Beast for Sim Rigs
I’ve been tearing up the track on the **Playseat Trophy** for months now, paired with my **Fanatec DD+, BMW GT2 Clubsport wheel, and ClubSport Pedal V2** – a serious direct drive setup that demands a sturdy rig. From intense GT battles to precision F1 laps to crazy Nascar finishes it holds up like a champ. Here’s the breakdown: **Ultra-Lightweight & Super Portable** Weighing in at just **17 kg (37 lbs)**, this thing is insanely easy to wheel around. I shift it effortlessly from right in front of the TV for racing and then back to the corner out of the way when not racing. **Top-Tier Comfort & Adjustability** The **ActiFit™ fabric** breathes like a dream and molds to your body, staying comfy through 3+ hour races. Full adjustability on **seat height, backrest recline, pedal plate, and wheel mount** lets me dial in a perfect GT posture at 5'9". Lumbar support is spot-on, and even with the DD+'s torque, there's barely any flex – feels premium solid. **Minor Wish: Better Cable Routing** With all the Fanatec cabling (power, USB, pedals), I crave **built-in front channels** for cleaner wiring. Zip ties and velcro do the job, but integrated management would elevate it. **Insane Value** For **$599 USD**, it's a steal – **powder-coated high-carbon steel frame** is bombproof, **tool-free setup** in around 30 minutes, and officially supports all major DD wheels like Fanatec out of the box with pre-drilled mounts. Perfect for serious simmers who want pro-level performance without a bulky, permanent rig. **Verdict:** Light, adjustable, comfy, and tough enough for elite Fanatec gear – the Playseat Trophy is a game-changer. Cable nitpick aside, I'm more than pleased with this buy. Grab one if you're upgrading your sim life!

No issues assembling, very sturdy, light enough to push around on carpet, adjustments require tools.
This was purchased to be used with a Thrustmaster T300 and T-LCM pedals. Previous seat was a folding one from the same company. In comparison, this one is much sturdier and roomier at the bottom despite both of them having the hammock style seat design. There were no issues with the assembly, which was completed in about 30 minutes, no need to enlarge any holes. I followed the order of assembly per the manual, but left everything finger tight until everything was attached minus the steering wheel platform. Then everything was tightened as evenly as possible trying to keep the tension even left to right and around each round pattern. There are some tubes that have a converging angle so it may seem tight, but once it's in place, there is plenty of slack to get the fasteners in with no tools. The pedal tray required light pressure to push the sides apart, but this helps hold the tray in place when the fasteners are loosened for adjustment. The sides of the tray are lined with a slippery material so it's not a metal on metal grind when you need to loosen it to adjust. Set up took another 30 minutes or so, transferring the hardware from one seat to the other, routing wires, and what not. Still looking for the most comfortable seating position. The seat back angle is a bit of a pain to adjust, you must lift the seat cover in order to access the bolts and it is not a tool less adjustment. The steering wheel for/aft position also requires tools and some disassembly and reassembly. This might be an issue for those with drivers of significantly different sizes in the household of friends circle. The pedals are on tool less fasteners and can be slid and refastened into the next position easily. Overall it's been a significant improvement over my previous set up and will be ready for when I move to a direct drive set up.

I like it but...Heavy braking or rudder use, makes size readjust (not ideal)
IM 5'11, it fits in my bedroom room: my room is not small or big but i have ample space, i can fit it under my monitor under my desk. Setting it up WITHOUT the instructions was 2/10 but with the instructions was 7/10 (my wheel base mount DID NOT FIT BECAUSE ONE piece at the front needed to rotate so i had to pull the whole thing apart to get to it and assemble otherwise my wheelbase wont be stable at all, completely loose. i have it set to the shortest and my Pedal have a slight inclination, very adjustable if i wanted to move it, i can adjust the straps for the seat for comfort but sometimes my bum does hurt from sitting awkward, alot of screws I do not like how much the rig moves in size, remember i have it set to the shortest, it feels comfortable there, knees slightly bent, arms nice position, but when i brake or accelerate and im stomping into the pedals (Turn 1 Monza for example) the size moves bigger ( i dont want that, i have all screws in and it still does this, idk what else to try to stop it from moving other than using shims. Easy to clean, Easy to move got some weight on it though, sits very low. figure out your arm and leg position before you put on your Steering wheel and Pedals.

Great seat for sim racing
It has the perfect shape that I fit right into, very comfortable, and the overall build quality is very high. It is heavy but since the legs are rounded, if you have carpet like me you can easily move it around when you want to move it out of the way. One thing I will say is that if you get premium pedals there is a good chance they may not fit here so make sure you check those dimensions beforehand. Other than that it is pretty much perfect for the tier right below aluminum rigs.

The perfect solution for my living space and Sim gear!
When I upgraded from my beginner racing gear and upgraded to something better, I wanted a rig to go with it. I was using a rig that setup in front of my office chair, and it got the job done. Won an online 3 hour endurance race with it, so it worked for me. When I got the new gear I was debating on what to get that doesn't take up a lot of space in my game room, supports the torque of my wheelbase, and supports my height (6'1"), and after a lot of research I ended up with this. It was the right choice for me. It fits perfectly without being in the way, it's sturdy but also light enough to move around and use medium sized bass shakers to shake the whole thing. It's a bit pricey for what it is, but way worth it if your concerns are similar to mine.

Incredible!
I took a gamble on this frame but every step of the way I've been floored at the quality of build. I'm not all that small, 5'10 and about 230lbs and this frame hasn't moved at all! Extremely well built and sturdy. FFB can be felt through areas of the frame which only adds to the immersion. It can be lifted and slid from room to room with ease. Setup is very simple but allow a few days for adjustments to your body and style of driving. Looking at the price, it's steep, but overall I found it to be a long-term investment and so far I could not be happier!

Terrible Customer Service, woul not recommend doing business with this company.
What a terrible experience. Amazon somehow selected an old address as my default for multiple orders, this being one of them so when the item shipped it was delivered an hour away to another city I haven't lived in for two years. I called Amazon three times, UPS twice, and Adorama twice to which the conclusion was that all Adorama had to do, as the shipper, was contact UPS and change the deliver address. I did this with ample time and prior to UPS receiving it at a local facility and it can also be changed while its on the truck although it will probably be delivered the next day. Amazon told me twice they contacted the seller and they agreed to change the address but I did not see it change in the UPS app so on delivery day I called Adorama to have them contact UPS directly and they refused to do so stating that the only thing they could do was tell them to hold it at the local facility, also an hour away, which is incorrect as UPS told me twice that there are two options to change the address and anyone can verify this with a quick google search. Adorama says that their customer support contract prohibits them from contacting UPS to change the address although Amazon says the seller has to do that so I can only assume that this an internal contract between the company and whoever they use for customer support. All-in-all, a terrible time talking to too many people, probably six hours of my life over three days trying to get one simple thing done, for anyone to call UPS and change an address. The solution provided to me was to have the package rejected and reshipped home and that i would get a refund with 7 days. The seller is in NY, im in Florida, the package is an hour away, call UPS and change the address, a five minute task and the issue is solved. Whenever customer service is lacking it's generally indicative of strategic poor choices and as such, I would not recommend doing business with this company although I will be updating the review with my findings on the seat which I'm sure will exceed my expectations. TLDR - Adorama customer service is terrible, still haven't received the seat and no one wants to help. Thanks.

Playseat Trophy adjustments
Very comfortable, easy to slide around when not in use. The negative is that there is not a way to change the elevation of the wheel hight, and that they wrote playseat 7 times on it in big bold white letters, a bit cheesy looking in my living room

Veramente Robusta

Not worth 550£ worth 380£
No base screws in the box!!! it shouldn't be there but still, I think it's stupid for the price! The chair is very similar to the Playseat challenge with more room for legs. My height is 1.81m 15stones I use DD2 Fanatec the wheel is a bit to high so no hight adjustment a bit of a problem. The seat material is not Alcantara. Something else is still very strong! But when mine arrived, it felt dirty! It felt like it was dragged around the Unit and then packed to the box. Had that light grey-brown shine which is usually is Unit dust. Biggest downside adjustments! Its a rig for one person only unless your brother or mates are the same size as your height. Other than that very stable after longer use it start making light noises but I think you need to tighten the screws once in a while. for 380£ perfect chair for 550£ get something else! It does not fold so deffo not a space saver! Problems with shifter handbrake plate! The plate for it pushes in to your leg bit uncomfortable but if you need it then it kind of fades away after time but very annoying at the very beginning! (sold separately) Again research the market before the purchase you might find something better. But its deffo the coolest looking for the price!
