I love this tea kettle, simple and pretty

Works! Shape makes it slow to whistle when water boils. The dome is too high. It eventually whistles fine.

This was a really great price and it is quite sturdy and very pretty.

It's an ok kettle but started to peel after only a year - my previous kettle didn't start peeling until at least 3-4 years into use and was heavier & better quality. So, will do in a pinch but if you want something that will last longer & stay in good shape for more than a few years, find a different kettle!

Nice and Loud Whistle, Works Great...

This worked, but after 5 months the handle became detached at the end near the spout. It is not safe to use, due to the risk of scalding, when the remaining attachment fails. Beside the obvious product defect and even Amazon's legal liability potential (Mcdonald's coffee anyone?), The Amazon customer service chat line has been very inept and incompetent. I got suspended 3 times from the chat because the AMAZON REP TOOK TOO MUCH TIME WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING HELPFUL. The 3rd person finally said that I could have a refund but I was cut off again without any confirmation of how the refund would be processed. I phoned customer service and as I write this I've beeb asked to wait for 2 minutes, but have actually been waiting for over 19 minutes. After 21 minutes they never came back. I hung up and called again the new rep said that he would solve the problem. He did after about 30 minutes of holding and having to re re re re explain my issue and one last attempt to claim that I wasn't eligible for refund/replacement. Summing up: a defective product, Amazon Basics branded, sold by and shipped by Amazon, well over one hour of shoddy customer service, seemingly designed to make me "just go away" and to top it off, I had to supply the packing materials for the return of the broken item. Typical of customer service 2024. Not the usual service I've come to expect from AMAZON. NOW FOR ANOTHER UPDATE AND EXTENSION OF DISHONORABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE BY AMAZON. Finally received my refund-minus a restocking fee. Like they can restock a defective, broken, dangerous product. I doubt that I could have anticipated that the product would break on initial inspection, I’m going to be quicker to return products I have an inkling about from now on.

It was very nice at first month. We used it like everyday, but it went bad very early.

sehr hübsche Kessel. Genau wie auf dem Bild ist die Farbe. Man muss oben den Deckel richtig fest drauf drücken damit er vorne pfeift wenn das Wasser kocht. Er hat am Henkel einen Knopf, womit sich der pfeifende Deckel hoch und runterklappen lässt so dass man ihn nicht berühren muß. Er ist leicht und das Wasser kocht dadurch schnell, somit spart man Strom als mit einem schweren Topf. Wir sind sehr zufrieden.
