Jarrow changed the appearance of these tablets in early 2020. The tablets used to look exactly like Tums - same diameter, flat and coin-like. Now the tablets are smaller but fatter, but the packaging size remains the same, making the jar appear half full. Product still delivers faster results than any other prebiotic on the market. The powdered form is just as effective but is a huge hassle and doesn't taste very pleasant - these are portable if you travel and can be chewed down to a pleasant tasting paste within a minute.

Got it in a couplre of days....only thing I can say rite now is I like the carmel flavor but NO WAY could I chew one tablet..I smashed them quite easily tho and swollowed them ! Hope these work....

I really like this product because it works as described and is easy to use. Many Prebiotics are in powder form. This is easy to chew tablets. Three a day and my digestive system has never felt better.

I was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease probably about 12 years ago. I got some diet pills and lost weight, and my liver enzymes dropped back to normal. Then I gained weight and my enzymes went up again. I heard about a study that suggested prebiotics might help. The Jarrow XOS Plus GOS seemed the best option I could find. Around the same time, my mother kept pushing me to try Milk Thistle, because it's supposed to be good for liver health. After a couple of months of taking two Jarrow once a day (sometimes 3, sometimes missed a day), and taking one Milk Thistle capsule per day, my liver enzymes went down. I just had my second blood test since starting this regimen, and the enzymes are still down. I've gained a couple of pounds and my diet is the same or a little worse. It's not scientific, by any means, but I believe it has made a positive difference.

So they are chewable and pretty tasty. I am not sure if they have too much sugar for me - pre-diabetic. I may have to check on this...maybe it is the xylitol?? --- look it up and says it is a sugar substitute but doesn't raise blood sugar - okay for some diabetics, but they taste good before you eat your special yogurt or probiotic capsulesYou have to take 3 tablets. No dairy so I can take. Wonder if it's doing any good...

The prebiotic itself is great and does what it’s supposed to, but the new shape is incredibly hard to chew. It actually broke my tooth and I needed to get a crown. Now I’m extremely careful about how I chew them, and they’re not nearly as convenient or pleasant to use.

I can’t believe it, but putting the two together is working to curb my appetite.(prebiotic and probiotic- the fiber of the prebiotic feeds the good gut bacteria in the probiotics). It really helps when wanting to fast.

I ordered these when taking a course of antibiotics, along with probiotics, to help my digestive system. They worked great! They have a pleasant, sweet taste that is very mild, too.
