Works great on a 350ci engine.
I literally just bolted it onto my 73 Chevy Truck, with a 350. Didn't even have to adjust it except for a bit of idle.

Snap on wire hanger for needle MIA! Buyer Beware! Some work/repair may be required.
Poorly built. Flooded a bit from start and only got worse by the minute. Thought about sending it for warrantee, but needed something soon so took top off it. Right away spotted the main problemNo snap on clip/hook on the needle to hang needle on float. So needle just bounce around under float, and no sign of that wire clip/hook it anywhere! Took one off a GM Rochester Quad needle placed on the China needle, checked float, reassembled. Good to go after. Buyer Beware. May have to fix before have a user. Best just to pull top off and inspect & fix before install. So give it a 1 out of ten. Works after thurally inspecting & fixing what's wrong.

Surprisingly good
This carburetor was surprisingly good out of the box. The documentation is rather clumsy and all over the place, but you can find general quadrajet documentation just about anywhere, so reference that for your initial tuning. The float was adjusted correctly and did not have any issues with the upper plate. The carburetor bolted on and started up straight out of the box and required minimal adjustment. It is important to point out that the quadrajet carburetors do not handle high pressure well and these are no exception! I've found that these will take up to about 8psi at most before they push past the needle and seat and cause the leaking you commonly read about. You must either install a regulator to keep your inlet pressures down or run a fuel pump specifically designed to provide low pressure.DO NOT BLINDLY TRUST YOUR FUEL PRESSURE! Many of the aftermarket replacement fuel pumps are putting out too much pressure for the quadrajet, even if it is listed as a direct replacement! Always check your fuel pressures or buy a quality low pressure and high volume replacement. If you are looking for a cheap and basic replacement for your quadrajet and are not chasing peak horsepower numbers, these will work surprisingly well if you set them up correctly.

**WOW** Now this is QUALITY A#1 DONT PROCRASTINATE BUY IT YOU WILL BE HAPPY !!!
What AMAZING quality, I have had such probs with my 69 Corvette 427, the mechanic had my factory Rochester rebuilt TWICE and apparently still NO GOOD.I replaced my fuel pump all my vacuum lines and more, and still NO good. So I figured I would order this, I thought at that price I just could NOT go wrong.I installed today, it is 100% IDENTICAL to the stock one, it comes with all kinds and sizes of jets, KUDOS what XLNT company indeed. So installed, pumped the gas 3 times, turned the key and that MASSIVE 7 Litre MONSTER finally came to life, and my God it runs PERFECT, all pre adjusted and set just right. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!OUTSTANDING Do NOT hesitate on this it's a FANTASTIC value...3 years of the car not running right, and here for under $200.00 ... GREAT !!

. You could have got 5 stars
After adjusting this carb it is a good carb but it was adjusted wrong. A brass float is adjusted differently than a plastic float. The important thing is to adjust so the high center of the float isn’t touching the top of the chamber. It overflowed after the first time starting it. See a lot of people have this complaint. Then it failed emission standards miserably as delivered. I’ve had the top off of this too many times trying to set it. In the end the #33 jets with the primary jets you installed it passed emissions test. Just took it on a 300 mile round trip without an issue. I installed it on a 454 chev big block 7.4 now I question if the jets you provided could set this carb for a small block since I’ve tried almost every possible setting and only got smoke with every other try. It ran as delivered but not right and if customer isn’t pushing 500 horse power or more then it will not work. Way too much fuel. Great carb very responsive steady power. I’d buy again but knowing it needs to be opened and rejetted and float adjusted not plug and play. Thundermingo have you ever installed on an engine and tried? Not jetted like my stock gm carb came. So buyers open it up set the float properly and install #33 jets and you MIGHT LOVE IT

Driving straight out of the box.
Out of the box runs good. Minimal adjustments will be required to fine tune. Driving down the street as is. Needs a fuzz more fuel. We’ll see long term but short term on point.

High Risk item, can damage your engine
Purchased this item, installed it on my SBC 350. The floats were defective, flooded the engine and garage with fuel. Caused a Hydralock which severely damaged my engine. I filed a complaint with Amazon, they told they would get back to me, then never did. I am now forced to turn it over to my attorney to file a legal complaint against their product liability. My opinion, Buyer Beware, this product is Chinese junk, don't waste your money. Meanwhile, my attorney JZdefense is preparing to go forward to recover damages.
