Contigo® Kids Spill-Proof Tumbler with Straw, 14oz.

I bought this cup not for a child, but for myself--a 43 year old woman with ADHD. I'm clumsy and like to nest up on the couch. I have forgotten about / precariously placed so many beverages that have then gotten spilled all over. I had tried my thermos style opaque tumblers or mugs, but when I can't see what's left inside, I often completely forget to finish it. And I really drink more if I have a straw. I love my larger Owala clear water bottle, but like to keep it for water only. I wanted something I could use with drink packets, iced tea, etc. I bought a similar cup to this from Owala... but I found when I tossed it about on the bed or couch or my passenger car seat, it leaked a bit. It also was a little hard to drink from, though biting the silicone straw helped some. I'm getting ready to have major surgery and will be nested on the couch quite a lot for 2-4 weeks and wanted something to help me stay hydrated. I gave this one a shot even though I had the other... it is perfect. It is very hard to get it to leak at all. The hard straw helps to mix in drink powder. It is easy to drink from without extra thought. Thank you!

My son loves this cup and I loved it even more because it truly did not spill or leak. You do have to pull the straw apart because it's a two part system but worth the extra steps of cleaning to have a no spill cup. Perfect size, and great installation, not too thin

These are some of my favorite cups for my kids! I have a 5 & a 3 year old. These rarely spill, fit their car seat cup holders & they’re really easy to clean!! I love that the straw comes apart to help prevent mold. They’ve lasted a while so I think the price is worth it! I will say after repeated use the design had came off but that doesn’t really bother me or my kids.

Great cups for messy toddlers. Function as they should. My daughter can hold them easily with no issues. These are great for travel as we have no had any leaking issues. You can put then in the dishwasher, but we wash all of our cups with straws by hand. They are super cute and the colors are fun for my daughter. They don't hold ice as long as I'd like them to, but it is a plastic cup with no insulation.

My autistic 2 year old has refused many cups, never drank from a bottle, hardly found a sippy cup that worked for him. The contigo water bottles began to be the only cup he would drink from for about a year. Until we finally got him go try this. And thank the heavens, because these cups are wonderful! I would say 99.9% leak free (the .1% is only because on occasion one out of the 5 that we have, has been found tipped over on our floor and a small puddle of liquid seeped out the air hole.) These are very easy to clean. The straw is strong and holds up well against straw chewing, (a big issue we had with the contigo water bottles, we were replace it about once every month or two due to my son chewing the silicone spout off) It is SO nice finding a spill proof, toddler proof cup, that also has convenient cleaning and easy reassembly. It's been wonderful only having to buy extras because I want to have the different designs, have extra cups for when I want to skip doing the dishes, and not have to buy extra because my child thinks he is a woodchuck and must chew and destroy his only hydration container. 🙃 this cup is awesome. I bought these figuring they would be same as other cups I had purchased. I needed one that would hold coffee for my mother who had dementia and could no longer use a regular cup without spilling on her own Although not designed for coffee when diluted with cool water worked wonderful. I could not be with my mother 24/7 at the nursing home and this helped a lot. Thank you for making a product that did not leak and served wonderfully for what I needed it for

This cup is perfect for my granddaughter. The only thing I would change is to add an extra straw.

I bought this for my 18 month old boy since he always wants to drink from our cups. He needed his own big boy cup with a straw. We are always trying to find good cups that dont leak as we dont need more messes to clean up. We have used it for months now and its his best cup by far. He has thrown it many, many, many times and it has not chipped nor leaks. As you can read from the instructions, in the pictures I included, the straw comes apart for easier cleaning. So far he has only drank water and milk from it and have had no issues with him getting a good drink from it. If you read the small print on the bigger tag you will see that it says its spill proof however any residual fluid in the straw may leak out. Now this has happened to us many times and is the only issue we have had. Pressure builds inside the straw and when it releases it comes spilling out of the top. Sometimes it comes out a decent amount and the pressure will keep pulling even more liquid from the cup. At that point we have to open up the cup and pull the top of the cup away from the liquid to release pressure. But besides that its great. Doesnt spill when upside down or laying on its side or even when shaken. Its our number one cup to use. Im going to buy another one for my husband and I to drink out of so he will want to use it even more. Update- Feb 2022 We have used this cup hundreds of times and its still is going strong. I have to say there is a few things I have ended up not liking which is why I lowered it to 3 stars. Besides the pressure that builds in the straw, due to the spill protective piece built in the straw, I don't like the lid. It has a slit in the lid to help release the pressure but it doesnt work and you can't clean it. So when the straw fills up and leaks all over the lid you can only rinse out the slit. I have tried many small tools to try and get in to clean it and even tried to pry it off but nothing works. The best i can do is soak it in a hot water/vinegar mix to make sure no build up or mold occurs. I also don't care for the straw when it comes to cleaning it. Because of the protective pieces inside it makes it difficult to clean. Also the pressure created by the straw has now become a problem as a huge puddle randomly appears when the cup is just sitting there. At least when a cups falls over you know there could be or is a spill, with this you think all is well and then there is a puddle. We made the mistake many times of not paying attention to the cup sitting for hrs and finding a sticky puddle mess. Ended up pouring out the straw, down the cup, all over the table, and off the table onto the floor. Did not purchase again.
