Vetiver Extreme Eau De Toilette Spray for Menby Guerlain, 3.4 Ounce

I received my new Vetiver Extreme, by Guerlain, just a few hours ago. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!Although I truly love the original, non-extreme as well. I am aware that there are people who claim that they dislike the dry down of said original. That it has this mildew-like dampness to it. Personally, I don't get that, and have even ordered a second bottle, because my first is almost all gone now. As I wrote on my review for that particular fragrance, I found myself spraying it on everything. From my freshly washed boxers upon exiting the shower, to my bed, even in the books that I am currently reading! I find it that refreshing and clean.Well, I never imagined that I would find myself saying this, but this "EXTREME" version is even BETTER! In fact, it fully addresses and corrects that dry down output that some people didn't like in the original. This one has a cleaner, purer, smoother finishing note. I never thought that I would love any Vetiver fragrance more than I did the original, but this one IS IT! This is truly, Vetiver PERFECTION!It is one of those fragrances that smells so freaking good, that you almost want to break off the top of the bottle, tilt it over your mouth and drink it like a crisp, cold water of refreshing lemonade on a scorching summer day! As if you want to quench your olfactory sense, just as you would your thirst! IT IS THAT GOOD!The only other fragrance that I have in my collection, that makes me feel this way, as if juice from the heavens was bottled here on earth, is Aqua De Parma. These two are the fragrances that the Angels must wear in Heaven!The only reason that I am sharing this with you, is because I am practicing my "will to bestow." To treat my neighbor, my fellow human being, as I would my own self. Otherwise, I would NOT write this review! As I fear that the more people purchase it, in other words, the higher the demand, the higher the price! And the price that this Juice of the Gods is currently being offered for, is, itself ---> PERFECTION !!!

Vetiver Extreme is "extreme" in being a mostly vetiver and green scent; no tobacco. This is a safe scent, pleasant, light. Because it seems unpopular, it looks to be a great value.I'm not a cologne/parfum expert, others have mentioned notes I cannot detect. Vetiver Extreme isn't as strong and harsh as Creed Original Vétiver, which is a very good but more expensive scent. I probably prefer the Creed except for the price. If you want a safe, pleasant, inexpensive scent, Vetiver Extreme is a great pick. It seems to be discontinued; so, the price will only go up.

Love the scent but too pricey

This is another of the many great Guerlain colognes/perfumes. This particular Vetiver is bold yet not overpowering. The initial application is strong but once it drys down it reaches a point that is present but not contentious. Therefore, it's sillage is a close one but let me assure you, if your wife or girl friend is within a foot or a bit more, yes, they will notice you and smile for sure. Longevity - averages anywhere from four to six hours. That, needless to say is open to variation via each persons personal body chemistry. Even so, it's sure to stay with you for quite some time. In an overall sense - a marvellous cologne to add to your collection. Standby, women seem to truly brighten up when this scent is present. . . :)

The Vetiver Extreme is a bit more intense than the regular Guerlain Vetiver. It has a very pleasing aroma, however, the application really doesn't last much longer than a copy you might purchase at one of the dollar stores. Vetiver is Excellent

Fresh, woodsy, spicy, even a hint of citrus. It doesn't last as long as I'd like, that's the only drawback. This is now one of the only two scents I wear, the other being Terre D'Hermes.

Guerlain Vétiver is a handsome and elegant work of art in a bottle. Spicy and fresh at the same time, it is a wonderful blend of lemon, vetiver, pepper, incense, tobacco, and more vetiver! This is great stuff!

Cannot challenge the quality of much higher cost items.

Tengo varias fragancias predilectas; el VETIVER original de esta casa, es una de mis favoritas, y a pesar de sus MUCHOS años en el mercado, podría decirse que es uno de esos aromas que nunca dejará de tener lo suyo, o de merecer su fama. Me interesó descubrir qué variaciones y nuevos matices resaltarían en esta nueva edición EXTREME. Me alegra haberla comprado, porque la variación, aunque sí apreciable, es muy mínima, y no le quita a nada a la original, pero sa la vez, da gusto la diferencia, al ponerse a veces una, a veces la otra. Hay que darle incentivas al olfato, que por lo general queda rezagado a segundo plano.
