Thumbs Up
In the world of moderately priced cycling bibs, I believe Sponeed is on the right path. I've sample more brands in this price range then I care to count searching for bibs that do the job. Most have their negatives- short leg length, short/long braces/suspenders, weird chamois, etc.. A few I've tried and liked are Przewalski (not the newer versions), Baleaf, Spotti (now Przewalski?), and DeMarchi (had good sale).I'm 6'2" and 218 lbs. The XL are perfect. These bibs not only have good leg length that stays in place, the suspenders are comfortable and the chamois is serviceable. The chamois is a bit more firm than some other brands (even after 4-5 rides and washes). It is plenty comfortable for longer rides. My experience is that a lot of people complain about a chamois not being good for longer rides, but it is probably simply that they have not fully conditioned their seat bone area to accept the rigors of a good 70 mile ride- maybe a $200 bib would help some, but my $35 bibs do the job.Update: Used these bibs on a 100 mi ride (temps rose to high 90s) and they performed well. Highly recommend for this price range.

Great value. Excellent quality construction.
I bought a different model of Sponeed bibs a couple of years ago. Those had a mesh top and straps and a two-tone design. I was delighted with it although the top/straps could have been a bit longer to fit me perfectly. I am a very "normal" proportioned guy. Not excessively long in the legs or upper body. I decided to try this model and see if the fit was the same. To my delight, the top fit perfectly. No excessive stretching needed like the other model. Also, it seems that the material these straps are made of have more elasticity to them so I think that also helps them to adjust better to different size upper bodies. These are now my new, most favorite bibs. I gave the durability 4 stars which is based on the performance of the many Sponeed shorts and bibs I have bought before. The fabric on the inside, upper leg section of all my shorts has eventually worn through on one side after a couple years. This is the part that rubs against the seat as you pedal. It is a shame in a way, because the rest of these shorts are still in great shape. If Spooned used more stout fabric in this section, it would be an improvement in functionality. But still, these are the absolute best value bids and shorts on the market in my opinion and I can not recommend them more highly.

Good value and comfortable
Fit very well (i am 5’8” and 170) and purchased Medium. The leg grippers are slightly loose when you are just standing but cinch up once you start pedaling. They feel more slick on my saddle than my Canari and Sportneer cycling shorts which at first took me a ride to get used to the “sliding” sensation- but now I have actually come to appreciate the minimization of friction. So far i have used them 3 times on short 45 minute rides and they are very comfortable. I hand wash and hang to dry so they appear to be holding shape/size. Would purchase again. Will update review once i have gotten a few months and more lengthy rides in.Update: 7/9/22Been using them along with several other more expensive brands (Pearl Izumi, Rapha) a lot this year as i am training for a double century. I find my Rapha the most comfortable for the long rides (4+ hours) followed by these Sponeeds and then the 2 variants of Pearl Izumi. I fully expected the Raphas to be most comfortable as they cost nearly 3x the price but did not expect these Sponeeds to beat the 2 Pearl Izumis as they did. So, for my double century next weekend, the Raphas are worn day 1 and if i dont dry them enough for day 2, the Sponeeds will be used.Would buy again!

My new favorite shorts!
Preferences for shorts & saddles are both very individualistic, so I'll lead off by saying I started out when shorts were made of wool & elastic, and the chamois was a genuine piece of very soft, absorbent chamois leather. So... I don't like heavily padded shorts at all. I find the bulky padding increases chaffing, and tends to bunch up in ways that completely counteracts the contours of a quality saddle. E.g. the saddle has a relief channel to protect your crotch nerves but a bulky pad just re- applies the dangerous pressure. Get a saddle with the right shape & amount of cushion for you, and the job of the pad in the shorts is to minimize friction between the saddle & your skin as your legs pound out the miles. That said, I bought these bib shorts on an impulse because of the unusual pad design & good reviews (& my old shorts are wearing out.) I waited a bit to review them till I got several sweaty 40+ mile rides. I tried hard but cannot find anything to dislike! In fact the little bit of targeted padding is actually an improvement (gasp!) over my more minimal shorts. It's only at the key pressure points without ever bunching up or feeling bulky. Chafing is no worse than any other shorts I've ever had (since the 70's!) I just ordered a pair of non-bib shorts & will probably get some tights before the cold weather gets here. One note: the black bib straps can get quite warm in so it's probably worth paying a few dollars extra for the ones with the white meshy fabric at the top.
