Perfect and so good, what a great synth!

So many voices, layers, splits.. drum kits, pads, samples... it's all there. There is so much packed into this that it will take me some time to figure it all out - that said, it's logically laid out and the colour touch screen makes things pretty straight forward. Plus you can easily play it straight away without really knowing anything about all its advanced features. I chose the 88 note version to get the weighted keys. It's a pretty good touch - takes just a little time to get used to it but I like it. I thought a 73-noter would be adequate however that one is not weighted, and I've discovered I do like the extra keys that can be used for more splits giving me more voices to play without any button pushing. The virtual tone wheel organ is very realistic, and also very adjustable. Not ideal to play organ on this weighted keybed though. I shall have to try connecting a midi keyboard and see how I get on. Shame not to get the best out of the organ. Are there drawbacks with this keyboard? - undoubtedly, however for the price I don't think there is anything to match it.

Its an amazing machine imo,the best synth ive ever had anyway. I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone wether beginner or pro. Sound quality is excellent,features=massive amounts. A total production studio in all reality. All around excellence as far as im concerned. I love it. A*****

I am a classical pianist mostly, and there lies my mistake with this purchase. This is great if you are doing production stuff and want a range of sounds or playing basic pop piano. But the keys are really heavy and don't spring up as fast as most digital or acoustic pianos. This makes fast trills and what not quite difficult and hard on the fingers. The keys are also a little clacky for lack of a better term. You also need a good amp if you want decent sound quality which adds to the price making it poor value for money in my opinion.

I’ve now had this keyboard (88 keys) for around 6 months now, after watching several online videos I’m starting to get to know how to program sounds, using the sampler, sequencer and all the other cool things it does. It has around 3000 on board sounds.. so I believe, which can be expanded via Roland sound cloud. The key bed does the job for me as I’m a casual player and don’t do gigs. If your more of a piano player, it’s probably not the instrument for you. It’s definitely worth investing in if your after a decent workstation for a reasonable price.

Not for the unitianated but it gets easier with use. Some sounds especially the piano are not up to scratch for an expensive synth but you can download sounds but at a price

Fantastic little Roland synthesiser for the money personally I cannot fault this it is absolutely brilliant for composing. It’s a joy to be able to move away from the computer for a little while. You can use this keyboard as an audio interface for PC and Mac I hope this helps you decide. I would not hesitate to buy again if needed I expect it to last me many years.

Ho visto video e letto infiniti post nei forum riguardo questo strumento. E' da tanto che non suono in modo metodico. Prima avevo una MIDI keyboard 88 tasti semipesati Nektar e come funzionalita' e' sempre andata benissimo ma ... dovevo accendere tutte le volte il pc per poter suonare e poi configurare i VST per accettare i comandi con gli slider e i knob della tastiera. Cosi' alla fine mi sono deciso a cambiare e a prendere questa Fantom 08. La cosa che mi e' piaciuta subito e' la sensazione della tastiera pesata (con la possibilita' di "ammorbidirla" via impostazioni per far suonare meglio anche mio figlio). Non ha il VPiano come la Fantom originale ma i suoni supernatural suonano decisamente bene e non e' un accontentarsi. Ho avuto diverse altre tastiere (Yamaha) e mi ero gia' messo in testa di passare ore e ore a cercare anche i parametri piu' banali, ma qui non e' cosi'. Tutti i comandi sono esattamente dove te li aspetti e gia' assegnati per fare le cose che ti immagini. Collegandola ad un PC con Ableton (la licenza lite e' inclusa) ho potuto mescolare suoni della tastiera con suoni VST reindirizzando tutto attraverso alla scheda audio della tastiera. Io non sono un professionista e mi diletto solo sei weekend e alla sera ma posso dire che era tanto che non tornavo a casa con la curiosita' e la voglia di imparare un pezzo nuovo.
