It works as intended. Since this ring does not extend into the coffee holder, there is no need to buy a slightly smaller tamper for your espresso coffee maker.

I bought this because I was getting my coffee grounds all over my counted, no matter how careful I was. But now I just pop this baby on top of my basket, load the coffee, press and brew. Thank you for a quality product that works great and will be used for many years to come.

This is a VERY high quality funnel. It is very well-machined and has a beautiful shiny finish. It works great for keeping coffee grounds in my basket and off of my countertops. There really isn't anything about this that I don't like - it works great and is really well-made. I'd definitely recommend this.

Fits my 51mm portafilter just fine. There is a bit of play but it doesn't cause any issues. This is SO much better than trying to maneuver my spoon to get the coffee to fall just right. Now I just toss it in. The counter is so much cleaner.This funnel is super solid and heavy enough that you won't casually bump it out of place. I definitely recommend it!

This 51mm Espresso Dosing Funnel, Stainless Steel Coffee Dosing Ring is the same brand as the Ikape calibrated tamper I have shown in the background in my finished espresso pic, and it's just as high quality. The ring is pleasantly weighted, sits evenly on my 51-53mm Delonghi portafilter opening (does not "lock" on, but is heavy enough not to slip off), and has a wide enough opening to make it much easier to pour in my grounds. I also slide this funnel sideways off my over-filled portafilter over my grinder's basket, in order to create an even surface of grounds in the portafilter prior to tamping (like a substitute for a distributor). I store my tamper in the middle of this portafilter on top of my espresso machine when not in use, and both look and feel compact and high quality. I'd highly recommend this funnel as well as it's associated calibrated tamper.

This sits on the portafilter--the heavy weight keeps it in place. Then fill without scattering the grounds.

The funnel is wide enough for heavy dosage. The stainless is of high caliber. Only problem is that it easily shifts away. Used araldite resin with hardener to add 3 registration points as shown in photos which rectify the drawback. Hope the seller can understand users’ concern for always a better experience. Enjoy using it as it is going to last a long long time.
