Numatic HET200A Hetty Canister Vacuum Cleaner (Pink)

In addition to being a cheerful looking help, the vacuum is very well built, the two suction power levels are great. The high power really does a thorough job on deep carpeting. The brushes are good, well made, and the only bit of difficulty I've noticed is that the floor brush is a little harder to move on deep carpeting since it doesn't have rollers. But, I'm really happy with it, and works better than any other vacuum I've ever used.

This vaccuum is awesome. Very powerful. Versatile..can use on carpet, in your car, even on hardwood because of the different adapters. Best of all, it's PINK!! It is adorable. Me and my friend are moving out this summer and we want our house to be a little barbie house so when we saw this we had to buy it, and we love it!...IT IS NOT A SHOP VAC though, or however it is spelled..cannot use to dry wet spots so if that is what you are looking for do not buy. Also it shipped like a week earlier than it said it would :)

This is an excellent vacuum for hardwood floors and area. The suction is excellent and the long hose and cord go everywhere. The attachments are nice but aren't stored on the vacuum so you have to carry them separately. After wasting money on vacuums that broke after a short time it's great to find such a reliable product. Also so cute!

The pros: This vacuum is made in the UK instead of a country with questionable labor practices. It's cute, totally cute, and powerful. This vacuum doesn't throw cat litter around like my old vacuum did. (Well, this new vacuum doesn't have a rotating brush power head, so it CAN'T throw cat litter around.) It's quiet and doesn't scare the dog. It has a LONG cord, so long that I can plug it into a central location of our 1800sq house and reach everywhere. It has a hook on the long wand so the thing can stand up and not fall over and bop me on the head when I open the closet door (speaking from past experience with former vacuums). I like the wind up crank. I like the long bristles on the attachment brush because the bristles reach into deep crevices that my old vacuum couldn't. And I like the long hose and wand. I can reach cobwebs on our 10-foot-high ceiling without having to stand on a chair. Did I mention how powerful this thing is? It's got great suction without hurting my eardrums. Great vacuum. The cons: I thought not having a rotating brush power head was a minus, but then I learned that those rotating brushes can be hard on carpet fibers. So if you just get a powerful vacuum that sucks up dirt, it doesn't have to beat the fibers to death. But a true con is that the sections of the wand don't lock together. They are just pressure fit. Every time I vacuum, the wand falls apart at least once. My husband tried to shove the wand pieces together with that gorilla grip of his, but within 5 minutes, the first two sections came apart. I've learned to vacuum while not yanking on the wand, kind of a bummer to have to think about. Other than not having a wand that locks in place, this is a fabulous, cute (really cute), powerful, quiet vacuum. Happy customer!

Much quieter than any other vacuum we have used. Lots of air flow. It is just loud enough that you tend to raise your voice slightly to talk, but not loud enough to interfere with conversation. It is similar to an older dishwasher. The noise from the machine is about the same as the noise from the air flow from the hose which is the same air flow noise you get on any vacuum cleaner. The manual says it is rated at 63.9 to 67.1 dB depending on high or low setting. It comes with 4 bags that are easy to install (NVM-1CH). The face is removeable if that bothers you. High is 1200W, Low is 600W, airflow is listed as 42 L/sec, with suction at 2500mm W.G. / 1500mm W.G. (Water Guage) for high/low settings. Weight listed as 6.9 kg (15.2 lbs) but it seems light enough to us to easily carry up stairs. Switching between high and low is easy. Removal of top and bag is easy. Note that Henry and Hetty are identical except for color (compared all spec.s on website). Harry has the same spec.s as well, but comes with 1 additional brush attachment for hair / pets. To reduce air flow to safely clean drapes, there is a bypass on the handle that drops it from 100% to 70% flow. The bend in the handle is offset and reversible to make it better fit tall or short people. Dimensions listed for the main unit are 340x340x370mm so roughly 13.5"x13.5"x14.5".

I've had Hetty for a year now. I love this vacuum. Easy to use. So cute. But, the best part is it actually works and well. I have never had such an easy time vacuuming. I do the floor get the baseboards drapes window sills in one run. Changing the bags is a breeze. I will never own any other brand.

The actual NEW Hetty vacuum is WONDERFUL!!! However, Amazon did not send a new one as advertised and for which I paid...they sent some old, beat up, filthy-dirty, used vacuum cleaner. So be very, very wary in ordering this item from Amazon.com since it is their policy to palm off used returns as new vacuums. That said, Amazon Customer Service was GREAT in providing me with a postage/shipping paid label to send this item back and in refunding my money fairly quickly. It was a big hassle to go through this...but their customer service was stellar. I did not re-order Hetty from Amazon.com, I went directly to Go Vacuum (the Amazon supplier) because Amazon lost my trust with this one. Go Vacuum did a wonderful job and I now have my terrifically brand new Hetty to go with a previously purchased Henry.

Was wanting to purchase this for a long time as I had experience of them in the UK and family members use them back home also. I have the Dyson Animal and have been disappointed with it from the moment I plugged it in but have put up with it due to the high cost. Finally gave up and bought a nice pink Hetty and haven't regretted it a single bit, I actually enjoy vacuuming now - even the kids want to do their rooms!! I was personally fed up with expensive replacement parts on my Dyson, the main roller/carpet head was next to useless and was fed up inhaling dust and filth every time I had to empty the canister. Happy to go back to bags with Hetty, which last for ever {are also way cheaper in the UK!?} I have noticed no loss of suction due to bags - marketing crap from Dyson which I fell for.

I've only had this vaccuum cleaner a short time, so I have no idea whether or not it will last, but I must say it's the best cleaner I've ever had. It's relatively lightweight (compared to Dyson), very easy to trundle around, and to carry, if need be. It's easy to empty the bag, a skoosh to clean the filter. The hand-wound cord is long enough for me to do the entire house (bungalow)from one plug. It operates almost without any noise at all, and the suction is amazing. I have never had my carpet so clean. Furthermore, the long-haired dusting brush is soft enough to use on all furniture without scratching. Another plus, is that the head and the metal pipes are narrow enough to slide quite easily underneath most furniture ...which is great for lazy hooverers like me! You can do a great cleaning job of your entire floor without having to move everything aside. There is a suction-adjusting valve on the handle, in case the suction needs slightly reduced at times (it might!) and also a suction-booster switch on the machine itself, which I have not had occasion to use yet. I think this machine is powerful enough to pull weeds, although this is NOT recommended! If there is a downside ...and this is very slight ...it is a bit challenging to disengage the main floor sweeper from the metal handle, in order to fit another head. This involves a bit of determined twisting and tugging, before they come apart. However, I find this gets easier with use. I am amazed at the quality of this machine, and have been recommending it to all my friends. I must say, I never took this brand seriously before, probably because of the little smiley faces. More fool me.

Excellent commercial grade vac

I have lots of pets, I have tried Dyson and Miele vacuums, they could not do the job. This vacuum is way better! Love it!

I have two of these vacuums. They are great products. I used to have a Dyson which was three times the price but lost suction as the filters always kept getting clogged - I was really disappointed especially as they state no loss of suction. The Hetty and the Henry are powerful vacuum cleaners, easy to use and work well. The equipment is fairly standard for a vacuum cleaner although I wish that the hose had an extra attachment to make it longer for stairs such that I did not have to take it upstairs to do the last few steps. The body is fairly manoeuvrable but will not pull round corners as it tends to get stuck. I do a lot of DIY and therefore there is a lot of mess at times and the vacuums cope with that really well. My first one is still working after several years - which is more than I can say for the Dyson which went to the tip after a year!
