A must read for fantasy lovers!!!
Rating – I wish I could give it more than 5 starsA book that made it to my best reads of the year list. Finally a book that deserves all the hype. To be very honest , I was never into fantasy fiction , but , well , Bookstagram made me do it.The book is amazing , like really – AMAZING and I think one should definitely pick this up to find out why. I don’t think I need to say anything about the author’s writing style – Victoria’s “Red Queen” series received a lot of fame and although I haven’t read that one , I totally understand the hype now. The author’s writing style is provocative and something that will keep you reading till the very end. About the storyline , I’d say, the twists and turns had me gasping at places. Although , the starting had me confused , but even the 26 pages long prologue was so good – like what have you done with my LIFE ?! The story unfolds slowly and there isn’t even a single place where the story started to seem unnecessarily lengthy. To tell you the truth I read 300 pages in a sitting and the book totally deserved it.Synopsis: Corayne feels something is wrong as darkness prevails in Allward, with the Realm in danger. She is the last hope alive but will she be able to save the Realm all by her own ?Honestly , I don’t want to talk about the story , because , of course I’ll be giving away spoilers , unintentionally. Yes, it’s that good! The language usage was good , and to tell you the truth , I had to keep my dictionary handy- not like all throughout the book , but definitely in some places. The characters haven’t left my mind ever since I finished reading this book and I often have dreams about them (not even lying 1%, I swear). They are practically residing in my mind and I know they aren’t leaving anytime soon , and I’m glad!!It was the first book in a trilogy and I already cannot wait for the second one !!

A great start to a new series!
I'd start with saying that I hadn't read anything from Victoria Aveyard before Realm Breaker (not even Red Queen) so I didn't know what to expect. I went into it completely blind, having not even read the blurb, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was!In #RealmBreaker we follow a group of unexpected allies: a pirate's daughter, an immortal, a ruthless assassin, a squire and a seer as they try to their world against the darkness that looms! This is the first book in a new epic fantasy series so there was of course a lot of world building and explanations throughout the book though at no point did it feel boring or draggy. The magic system was great and leaves a lot for the next books to expand. It was action filled and I was hooked from the very first which *minor spoilers* started with a battle and blood shed. I'd like to mention that there isn't a lot of romance in it. But there is quite a few openings for future romances. There is some really good political plots going on which I am really excited to see how they turn out. Also, there are some betrayals as well.I loved almost all the characters! Actually I loved all the characters except for one. And it wasn't our main villain guy. No. I actually liked him. It was this other villain accomplice that I can't mention because spoilers. Moving on, I loved Sorasa and if you read this (which you should) then you will too! She was badass and strong and brave and clever. What else could ask for? And I am very pleased to say that there isn't a single super annoying character which is a feat in itself! And that ending! The writing was good throughout no doubt but the last few chapters were excellent! I just could not stop reading them.It is going to be really tough to wait for the next book which I hope is as epic as this! Till then, please read it so we can discuss it!Rating - 4.25/5 🌟Thank you @hachette_india for the gifted copy!

A great start to an epic Series
This was an interesting story. Fascinating world building built, vivid characters developing before your eyes and a World you want to see saved. There might even be a love story budding.

Fast paced, Epic Fantasy with Multiple POVs
This book will take you by the hand and together you will jump into an adventure so grand and exciting that you won‘t want to put it down again. Interesting world building and character development, Aveyard typical reveals and such great tension and a sense of urgency. I loved all the characters but Sorasa Sarn has to be my favorite!Magic portals to different realms, pirates, assassins and a kingdom in the balance. This might just be my new favorite epic fantasy read - definitely among my Top 5 of 2021 and the year isn’t even over! <3

overrated
98% details, 2% plot if that. The beginning of the book is spent to paragraphs describing characters that end up dying 2 sec later.

2 stelle
2 stelle,più per una questione mia che per la storia in sé. Sarà forse perché sono diventata troppo grande per questo genere di storie, chissà. La Aveyard è brava. Ho amato la saga Red Queen,ma questo ? non fa per me.

Fun Fantasy Romp
Felt really stereotypical, for good and for ill. Fitted what I wanted, but at times felt like it needed more depth and freshness.
