This little machine actually helps me sleep better. I live in an area where there can be a lot of outside noise, even during the night. This machine masks that noise and lets me fall asleep to the sound of a meadow, the ocean, a waterfall, etc., instead. You can set the volume anywhere from very soft to quite loud. And there are more selections that three to listen to. Those are just my preferences. There is even a meditation setting for the meditators out there, or those who find that sound soothing for sleep. All in all, I think this helps me to fall asleep faster and get a much better night's sleep, and we all know that the quality of our sleep is just as important as the amount. Well, almost! I recommend this to anyone who has trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, or to anyone who has tinnitus and finds repetitive sounds help mask it.

I’ve bought 2 of these and 1 of the more expensive models. So I’m a long-time customer. The more expensive model had issues with the memory card and one of the others my husband dropped and broke. The company ended up replacing both. The third continues to work every night for 10 hours at a time for what’s been years now. That’s just fantastic support of the products; far beyond what I’d expect from a company.The quality of the sounds, the adaptive technology, the richness options - all are spot on. Because of my wonderful experiences with these products I plan to continue buying these for life and as gifts.

We have two of these. The sounds and options are great. For someone that has trouble sleeping in general or for someone that needs distraction from local noise this is a great help. However, we had trouble with some sounds beginning to have a crackling noise and it kept getting worse. It turns out the factory is aware of this. They shipped us a new memory card with instructions on how to replace it. Since we replaced it we have had no further issues. Taking this into account, I would still purchase this - given the sounds, operation and good customer service.

These things are amazingly adjustable, and compact. The fact is, when it hears sound, you can adjust it it get louder. I would whole lot rather hear waves than industrial or road noise! Excellent product, I own 2, one with earplug capability and one without. I use my silicone ear plugs and these machines and am finally getting rest. You typically only hear the hum in the house, you walk outside, you don't hear it.. In my area, it typically kicks in about 3:00 AM Uhhhhg! End of story. I have tried everything to supress this grinding noise, the machine and silicone ear plugs work best.

This is the 5th sound machine from Adaptive Sound Technologies purchased through Amazon, around $100 each. They all developed a "transformer" sound after 2-3 months of use. The sound cards are corrupt in every one and they are aware of this issue. The last one we bought lasted 4 weeks before it is a paper weight and this one actually started to get so hot it smelled like it was burning. I spent over 3 days and 6 hours with Amazon on chat and they lied to me 3 times now about accepting the return (I have the chats saved as proof). We will probably see if something can be done further as they seem to not care about selling faulty products and we will need to be reimbursed one way or the other.

Ordered one of these and it developed a noise in the background within a month. Was replaced very quickly, so far so good.

Best sleep machine I've ever used! All the ones I've bought before always made an obvious loop and repeated the sound that you would wait for once you became aware of. This machine not only has no noticeable loop, but in each sound category you can enhance it two more times by adding various additional sounds. The volume can be turned to your favorite comfort level. It even has an option to dim all the lights out so it doesn't disturb your sleep. Overall the perfect sound machine.

Great sound options, a bit big but decent sound. Unfortunately, after 1 month of daily use, the machine making odd hissing noises and all the sounds are a bit off. I called the company and received an alternate SD card - with half the memory - to help fix the problem. It did, though the sound was overall less clear. Unfortunately a few weeks later the product began turning off on its own between 2 and 5 minutes after turning on; this did not occur with any other devices in our home. I'm forced to think that this is sadly a very fragile product.

I absolutely love this machine it's fantastic.It has multi sound loops so it never sounds like it is constantly playing the same old loop like other players, it has loads of different soundscapes, (my favourite is rainfall with distant thunder), The sound quality is great and it's quite loud if you choose to have it turned up.It also has an auto volume level as well which increases or decreases the volume if the room is noisy for what ever reason.But best of all it has multi timers on it so you can have it turn itself off at 30 minuet intervals up to 2 hours, and it also fades out the volume nice and slowly so it doesn't wake you like other soundscape machines do when they switch themselves off abruptly.I know it's not cheap but i can tell you that it is well worth the price tag.All in all FANTASTIC!!

Its OK. The auto adjusting noise doesn't work very well and is actually more off putting than helpful as the variations are way too drastic. Wish it had more sound effects. Also the buttons are way too clicky. I use this to drown out my missus snoring but when I go to turn volume down manually, the click then wakes her & starts the snoring again. May work better for you than myself and does seem well made but for me, i'm sure I could have got something more suitable for far lessEdit: now 13 months old & knackered. Plays sound for a few minutes then a loud buzz & circles like this. It’s like the sound made when you plug headphones or speakers in whilst the stereo is turned on. Now useless & just out of warranty
