The media could not be loaded.  For a long time, I've been trying to find the perfect ID Tracking tag for my dog. All of them were either slow and sluggish or had bad user interfaces that took up too much memory on my phone with a monthly subscription fee! Then one day while searching online, this FOSSA Pet Tag caught my eye because it works through Facebook Messenger--and best yet? It doesn't require an app download which means less storage consumed by those pesky updates in addition to saving battery life as well!I had high hopes for this app when I first signed up because they said there would be no subscription fee. But after using it for a few days and seeing how smoothly everything worked, that promise seems like a little more than wishful thinking now! The moment you open your phone's camera QR code was detected right away, then presses the Messenger button to send over where FOSSA Pet’s registrations page in Messenger...it couldn't have gone any quicker or easier if someone was guiding me through each step by hand themselves--in under three minutes from start-to-finish including filling out all required info about my Luna as well as uploading her cute pictures.I saw the other reviewer saying it was a lot of pain to get into registration. I guess she needs to update the system and Messenger to the latest version to make it work. Yet, this is not a must since FOSSA set up a backup method for registration as shown in my video. Open the Messenger app, search “FOSSA Pet” and DM them the keyword “Register” and you are good to go.BONUS tip: Wanna try the registration before buying? You can try the ID tag code "testcode" using this method and if it's not compatible with your phone or something else, there's no need to purchase it! ZERO risk.

You are supposed to scan the code on the tag with a QR code reader and it gives you two options. (Get Messenger or Open Messenger) The problem is I cannot select Open Messenger which I need to do to register. I can see both options but it won't let me select the option I need.I did sent a message to the company they told me to update my iPhone and I would get an option to update Messenger, but so far that didn't work.So finally I was told to go to Fossa facebook and to message them by saying the word, "Register" and once you do that a bot, registers you, asking for your information. It was really simple and I believe they have updated the instructions to say that.However, now that I'm registered when I scan the tag, I get the same two options.I have to choose, "Get the Messenger App", even though it's installed because Open Messenger does not work.Then I have to select "Follow Link"Then it shows the Messenger App, I have to choose, "Open"And then it takes me to Fossa Pet where I select "Help you Home" or "New Registration"

Tag works well once setup. If you have to make changes is where it could go wonky. I needed it to say something different than choices provided——don’t do it. If you change it to something not offered it will lock up and not work. Then you have to wait for customer service to reset it. Not super friendly but efficient. Yes I would buy another now that I know insider information. Only works through Messenger.

Broke in under two weeks

I love having one extra layer of protection to keep my fur baby home and protected.

Not worth it. The person who found my dog said the tag was very hard to use. Also something weird going on with their messenger. The only number I could find online was a Google phone number that no one answers. I'm just going to get a regular tag with my info in it to replace it.
