Don't waste your money!!!
I bought LED integrated bulbs and shipped them to Lightwave to get them tested. They agreed to test them and kept them for two weeks. They confirmed they are compatible, so I proceeded with over £1000 worth of purchase (multiple packs for the whole house + their access point to control lights remotely). Throughout my house renovation, I discussed my electric wiring plan with their technical department. Their engineers confirmed the plan should work with their switches and asked them to speak to my electricians to confirm that this is the case.Electricians started working on the plan and fitted the switches accordingly. Master and slave switches were playing up all the time and lights started flickering. I can't think of the number of times we spoke with them for troubleshooting (week in week out). It's taken more than a month and a half to work on their problems. Electricians have done everything to get the two switches configured as master/slave using their mobile app, but to no avail. They then asked to send the switches back for testing (apparently they thought they were faulty). It eventually turned out to be a problem with their firmware, and it was the latest firmware, which means the switch is incapable of delivering what it says on the tin. I wanted smart switches and paid a lot for them and for the electricians' works. I sent them back and received a full refund after a lengthy back-and-forth written correspondence. One of the engineers said to me you have to appreciate that this is a new technology and there is room for improvement. In essence, he meant they released an incomplete product to the market and you, as a customer, is buying an inoperable product that is not ready to be put up for sale.Bought a new set of switches (not smart) and lights worked seamlessly without a problem, which confirmed that the wiring was done properly and that all that hassle we had gone through was the result of useless products priced prohibitively (£100 for a 2-gang switch!).Don't waste your money and time on these useless switches.

Slick design but grossly overpriced
Ordered two switches which arrived promptly.First impressions were they looked stylish and modern just what I was looking for.Installation: simple enough but needed an electrician due to old school wiring, took him no time at all but gave me peace of mind of a job done properly.Functionality: well I’ll be honest this is where I was disappointed!Firstly the front plate has no apparent fastenings to the case therefore it is effectively balanced in place and prone to falling off despite rigerous attempts to secure it. Certainly not what you expect after paying £150 for 2 light switches!!The manual calibration works great to get the optimum light output but fails to provide a lower cut off, instead the lights merely switch off when dimmed to the ‘calibrated’ point.Alternative to hive or nest?Absolutely not !! The hub required for full functionality is laughable in price! £150 for a WiFi router is beyond a joke!£150 gets you a hive hub, thermostat and fitting and is often offered at £99 as was mine! You then add on the extras as you wish!Unlike Lightwave who come in at the top end of most sensible people’s budget for the bare foundations of a smart home so you can’t develop your own system for months or even years! This product will never be a rival to hive or nest until they review their frankly ridiculous pricing strategy!

Quality hardware, unusable software and confusing installation.
Beautiful design, simple(ish) to install, unless you're trying to fit a 2-way switch which Lightwave convenient doesn't mention in BOLD that if you wire it like you would a normal switch you would irreparably damage it, but luckily I realised before attempting to do so. The wiring symbols are also completely different to conventional UK light switch diagrams, would be great if there was some comparable guidelines for wiring. Something simple like: COM = L, L1 = X, L2 = S. There, I saved them the trouble! Very responsive control from the app though, but the hub is enormous and hangs off the router like a tumor. The metal buttons on the switch itself feel a little loose too. Just missing out on the 5th star due to the lack of examples for various wiring setups (e.g. 2-way, UK standard symbols etc) given the cost.
