Good program.
It's great so far. My teen has been doing it with no problems. After the last 2 years of computer based curriculum, these has been a great change.

Lifepac 10th Grade 5 Subject
I have previously used Christian Light Publications for teaching Grade One through Nine, and this year i switched programs because CLP no longer had the math program we liked so well. After seeing other reviews and the price of the Lifepacs, and after looking at online examples, we decided to go with Alpha Omega. I made a really bad decision with LIFEPACS, as it was very hard to follow, the quizes and tests were worded badly, and the material was written too technically, and did not hold the attention of the student. Geometry was the worst. There weren't enough examples to do the problems. There wasn't enough instruction. The teacher's manual did not help. We had to go online to look for advice on many of the problems. The Bible was okay. My son did like History in this series. Science was way too technical with the DNA, Cells, and it was written poorly. The cd was a waste of money. It was suppose to have science experiments that went with the book, and it would have been better to go online and search for the information. Lifepac's Biology was more like a college course, written at college level. Some of the reason we didn't enjoy it, was that we had a different curriculum for so many years. I can't blame it all on Alpha-Omega, but they could have made the material more interesting, and more understandable. Language was using, "in His Steps" for reading and literature. For a sixteen year old boy, it just didn't hold his interest. I was completely disappointed. For 11th grade, we have already purchased curricula from other vendors. One thing positive is that after looking for answers and information online, I found the "Education Portal". It had free classes and had some detailed courses. I found some great math teachers online too, who knew how to explain things well. Alpha Omega made me grateful for Google.

Meets legally required educational requirements
We did Lifepac because it was the most comprehensive and well-known (and accepted) by our school district. As far as meeting your legal obligations, Lifepac will cover that. You can still practice whatever you wish at home in addition to it, but the Lifepac lessons will get your child's educational legal requirements met and keep the District off your back, at least. We did not use the Bible part, as the District is indifferent to the Bible studies in reference to getting the State's high school educational requirements met. Its not even considered as an elective, its Sunday school stuff, therefore its use is optional but not needed by the school district.

Awesome..
First year homeschooling. I was very worried to try it. But Lifepac grade 10 is an awesome curriculum and my daughter finds it challenges her and she loves it.
