Twig Razor - All-Metal Single Blade Razor, 5 Blades - Black

After spending real time with the full Leaf lineup—Twig, Leaf 2, and the Original Leaf—I can say with confidence that these razors are genuinely impressive, each bringing its own personality to the sink. The Twig (and its slightly more assertive sibling, the Thorn) really shines in the precision lane. It’s a beautifully simple, fixed-head, single-blade design that feels intuitive right out of the gate. Where it excels is detail work—cleaning up edges, navigating tighter areas, and delivering a controlled, deliberate shave. You can use it for larger areas like head or body shaving, but in my experience, the multi-blade Leaf models are simply more efficient for that kind of coverage. The Twig, though, is my go-to for face work and finishing touches—it’s like a fine-tipped brush in a painter’s kit. The Original Leaf remains a standout overall. Its triple-blade setup offers an incredibly smooth, mild shave with excellent build quality—it’s probably still my personal favorite for full shaves. The newer Leaf 2 builds on that foundation with a much-improved grip and a slick quick-release mechanism that makes blade changes almost effortless. That said, the Leaf 2 does feel a bit more aggressive, and I’ve noticed the exfoliating bar can introduce a bit of chatter, even with good prep. All that brings me back to the Twig. It slots perfectly into the lineup as a precision companion to the Original Leaf—a reliable, elegant tool that handles the finer details with ease. I used to use cartridge razors, and they always cut me a lot and gave me razor burn and ingrown hairs, even the Gillette skingaurd gave me irritation, I switched to safety razors and they were absolutely amazing, although they were a little hard to use, got this razor and I’m absolutely satisfied, it shaves absolutely amazing, smooth, no irritation, razor burn, or ingrown hairs, I would recommend this razor to anyone!! 10/10 product

Overall a great product. Has the perfect weight so you don't need to put any pressure on it while shaving leading to a perfect shave each time. This razor works excellent both wet and dry (be careful with dry if you have thin or very sensitive skin). This razor also works very well for face, head, and body (yes even for your undercarriage even for men just be careful to apply some stretch to the skin to keep it from skipping over folds or catching folds). The only downside, and it's not enough to knock it down any stars, is that mine broke (The movable upper portion of the head snapped halfway up the retracting stem) after two years of use twice a week (once again full body shave each time). Given the amount of use it had it was still a little sooner than I expected, but still got more than my money's worth out of it. Helpful tip for anyone is when you do tighten the head down only tighten it finger right not whole fisted tight. I'm pretty sure overtightening (a bad habit of mine) is what led to the premature fatigue and breakage).

I have light growth and have been using the Gillette Mach 3 twice a week but got frustrated with how easily the blades gunk-up and how hard it is to clear them while shaving so I decided to try a single blade razor. I'm not looking for a perfect shave and was on the fence about whether to try the Twig or Thorn but decided on the Twig for starters. Using the blades that came with the razor, the results were a close-enough (not perfect) shave with one pass, no irritation, easy to clear while shaving, and was better than the Mach 3 results, so I will stick with the Twig but sample some other popular blades. While a considerable upfront cost, the low cost of the DE blades should result in an overall lower cost in the long run. For those looking for a perfect shave with one pass, or who have heavy growth, the Thorn might be a better choice. Highly recommended.

I had watched a lot of YouTube and promotional videos about this razor, especially the cool way it opens and closes. The razor looks great...but on mine there is a lot of "play" in the mechanism - as the top opens, it doesn't turn nicely and go straight up, it wobbles from side to side, and when I close it, the top doesn't turn and go straight down, but rather turns and goes down at an angle. Its not the nice clean opening and closing mechanism I saw in all of those videos... I reached out to Leaf to see if this was normal, but all they said that since this didn't effect the loading of the razor or the shave, then they saw no problem. As for the shave itself, it is extremely mild (for me anyways). I also bought 50 extra Leaf blades and wish I hadn't. They're just not sharp enough. I shave daily, and using a DE razor I can achieve a great smooth shave with 2-3 passes (with a touch-up); but using the Twig with the Leaf blade, its at least 3-4 passes and then multiple touch-ups over and over and even then I can't get the smooth finish I get with a DE razor. So I am trying a few other razor brands in the Twig...but the razor is so mild I'm still struggling to find a blade that can give me a decent shave in under 3 passes + multiple touch-ups... So...not what I expected. If you can get over the disappointment of maybe getting one with a sloppy opening/closing mechanism (like mine), then it might make a great razor for someone transitioning from cartridge razors.....and with softer stubble...!

Took me a few days and nicks to get used to but no looking back now. Shaving is now a thing I find myself looking forward to. As shaving with this requires more care than with a standard Gillette I've found myself really loving the slow and careful ritual of shaving. Top work, guys.

bought it at valentine's day as the present to myself，one for home using，one for travel using，first time to use it，cut my jaw bleeding everywhere ，second one also cut my jaw bleeding here and there.really not as safe as the video shows ，what a product ！the packaging is also different from the website’s picture shows，doubt if it’s new or not . bought useless thing and waste the money ，what can do to help with it?

So in terms of sustainability this is a great product and I love not wasting plastic as much as most other razors on the market. However, I’ve only had it for MAYBE 6 months, and the paint is already peeling off of it even though I got the black one. Just sucks it’s not the best quality when it absolutely should be for the price.

Overall experience is Safe! Love the refined simplicity of the design. Clever use of a magnet and frame to locate the blade. Smooth turns to tighten the head. Using Leaf single blades provided, the shave is very mild, you can feel the contact points on the Twig protecting your skin while you shave. For those wanting a more efficient/aggressive shave, a sharper blade would be a good idea to minimise the number of passes. The bottom heavy handle design suits the overall mild nature of the Twig contrary to the normally top heavy DE razors, almost encouraging you to apply pressure as needed.
