The media could not be loaded.  At 69 years of age I decided to teach myself speed writing to do this I required a dictafone to record dictation. Although this is a little machine it does a mighty job. Sound quality good reasonably easy to use battery has not run down yet.

I would say the build quality is where you'd expect it to be for the price point (that is pretty low). But when you're buying cheap, a low build quality is usually acceptable so long as the item performs as intended with reasonable quality.Sadly this is the little digital voice recorder that couldn't. The audio quality was acceptable, unfortunately it's pick up range was extremely poor. Even holding it by my mouth and speaking normally it struggled to pick up I can't imagine it being useful if used in a meeting or classroom setting at all.I also gave the voice activation setting a try and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. It was completely useless. It would activate and cut off randomly within a sentence making any audio garbled and unreadable.This item was returned within 24hrs. Avoid.Pay the extra and get an Evistr.

The media could not be loaded.  Great little recorder!I needed a recorder that had a line-in socket to use with my ghost box (spirit box / geoport) for pure recordings during Ghost Hunts and they are really hard to find and usually expensive.This little one was one of the cheapest recorders and Amazon but has the line-in which works perfectly.It is really easy to use as can be seen in my video and has enough internal memory to store hours of our Ghost Hunting Sessions as well as use it as a standalone EVP if we want to.Easy to connect to my PC via USB (no need to have it turned on) to copy the recordings off.It creates .WAV files showing a 128kbps recording rate.Super deal !

Pause button doesn't seem to work and instructions not easy to follow.

Sound quality is excellent. I use it for meetings where I have to type up the minutes and it enables me to concentrate more knowing I don't have to remember / capture everything in notes.However there is a mistake in the deleting files instructions. The first point is correct. In the second point, it states "press >II and hold for about 2 seconds". This should actually read, "press M and hold for about 2 seconds". The rest is also accurate. The erasing icon is DELL.I sincerely thank a previous reviewer for pointing out this error as I was getting very frustrated with it! I hope my fuller explanation helps others.
